Slim PS2 + £32.60 in Boots points for £104.99

I got an email on Saturday saying mine had been dispatched, to arrive by 22nd.  Still not come today, so I called Boots.
They said it had been dispatched Saturday to arrive by 22nd.  Great customer service there then!
Person on the phone promised they would "escalate" it.
I'm hoping that the PO hasn't swallowed it up like other parcels I've lost, because Boots will only be able to offer me a refund since there's no more PS2s in stock.
Just in case, my wife is going out tomorrow to spend the Advantage Card points, as they may try to refund the full amount and remove the points.

They don't take back points I can't understand this though, yours was sent on the 20th and mine should have been delivered on the 16th but wasn't because they had no stock ???

All this sounds pretty familiar:

I ordered 2 PS2 eyetoy bundles (about £135 each) way, way back to be delivered for the 8th of Nov (well in time for x-mas). The 8th came and went and after about 7 phone-calls and 2 e-mails (+ 4 weeks) later, one of them is finally being despatched today (not quite sure what's happening with the other one yet - still being looked into!)

So far I've had 4 orders with boots and all 4 of them have had problems with them (1 was missing a free reebok gift and another was missing the free item from a 3 for 2 - cheeky buggers!!). To be honest I'd expect better from one of the UKs biggest stores but then again, as someone else said on here, they don't take back the points or the teddy vouchers if you return an order!!

lol ive just had an order come from them with an out of stock on it, was also the freebie in a 3 for 2, they said as they didnt know if the stock would come in they have cancelled it and as such my card has not been debited for this amount.. IT WAS FREE!!!!! i emailed them sayin if i dont get the itme or a replacement then the whole order may aswell go back... to which they havent replied 3 days later

oooooooooo i got mine last week- was charged £95 for it- got £32 in points and two free teddies and sold it today for nearly £200!!!! Some saddo on here tried to "swap" a used mega old laptop for my playstation- didnt bother replying when he told me the specs- 3.2 gb!!!!

Just thought i would point out the only way to contact boots at the moment is through the phone as they don't answer the e-mails in any hurry (well over a week) - they are very busy ::) Thanks for telling us.

??? Boots customer service is terrible. Could do with Watchdog doing a piece on their non existent customer service.
I got my PS2 last week but got no joy from their customer service. Promised return phone calls never materialised.
Had to phone today about another order I had paid for to be delivered today which never arrived. Showing as being with the carrier. Told them not much use them having it I had paid for it to be with me by today.
GIrl eventually agreed to refund my postage. Got the feeling they might be getting a rough time just now. I was very polite agreed it was not her fault but that seeing as it had paid for it to be delivered on specific date it should have been.
Good result really as I have been unable to get the item in my local stores . Going to take it back get my money back and they rebuy it using all the points I got from the playstation offer.
Onl y way I could guarantee getting it. Paid for it to be delivered rather than wait 10 days or more for their free delivery. So refunded postage is even better.

Don't want to get anyones hopes up but my husband was in HMV in London (by London Bridge?) on Wednesday and apparently they had several PS2 boxes stacked by the tills.

Obviously they might be just for pre orders or something but it might be worth giving them a call to see if they do actually have any stock.

glad you got your postage back. I had same problem last week. It was due to be delivered last Monday (I paid extra for this delivery slot). I phoned them about 3pm saying no sign of courier. They checked details and said it was with courier so should be delivered that day. I asked what time they delivered to and I was told 6pm officially but they had been known to deliver upto 8pm. I phoned back at 6.15pm and got a really helpful guy who apologised and immediately said he would refund my postage - I didn't need to ask.

The original poster of this offer should get the monthly award as I got a brand new ps2 for under £95, in addition to over 3000 points and 2 soft toy vouchers. An absolute bargain - thank you!!!

I'm leaving it till 1st Dec but then plan to visit my local Comet every morning to try my luck as they told me they are getting 27 next week but i couldn't pre order 1.
In the meantime I'm stocking up on games for when i finally get 1.
