I've noticed that my local store has a small electrical section. Some of them have bigger electrical sections than others.

For a dvd recorder, mp3 player you are going to find your best prices online at somewhere like ebuyer or advance mp3. For consoles xbox and ps2 toysrus has pretty good bundles. There was a thread about an xbox with three games for £90.
I haven't really looked but ebuyer has a dvd recorder for just under £160 and I'm sure if you ask around someone will know some other electrical sites.

Paid extra to have mine delivered today. Boots confirmed the 15th and even gave me a tracking number. Hasn't arrived though >:(

Went onto https://www.businessexpress.co.uk and tracked it and its sat in Leamington Spa. grrrrr! >:(
