 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

  • This thread is a good find for me because my stick blender (qvc 6 years ago) is dying

I have just reserved a braun M6550M from argos and it`ll pay it`s way in no time
  • I have an old Bamix - it is fantastic!! They are quite expensive new, but I got mine for £3 at a boot sale and often see them there. It has different little attachments to whip cream, make mayo, stir sauces, mince and grind, plus it has a little mini-food processor that also grates cheese.

The new ones are here: Bamix just to see what you would be looking for

I use it as often as I use my Kenwood Chef, it has made cooking so much easier!

  • I have a BAMIX Swissline. It is FANTASTIC. Cost me £120  but takes up hardly any space on my work surface and does everything my food processor and blender used to do (and some) whilst creating almost no washing up.

I really can't recommend it highly enough.
  • Another vote for the Braun. I bought one in 1990 when they were all new fangled (and blimmin' dear back then!) and it lasted 13 years. Think I killed it trying to crush ice - whoops. Onto my second one now and it is going as well as the day it was bought!

if you search a bit you can find them for less, though I haven't seen them for less then around £80. They are fantastic though.;)

edit - spoke too soon - here is one for £69 BAMIX

Hi I have a braun, its very old ( my daughter is now 13 and Im sure it arrived when she did), However I often see them in the charity shops here for a few pounds.

as for Tesco we had two kettles from them that each broke within a few months, Tescos is 50 miles from here so I called to complain, and after speaking to a few people Tesco sent me a replacement through the post free of charge, so perhaps you could try complaining higher up.

    good luck with the blender

    Elmer
