As this is a money-saving site, can I just point out that we should all keep our receipts? Mr T may be fair (and it's difficult to argue that a Tesco blender wasn't bought from there), but a lot of other shops won't be. I store all my instruction books in an alphabetical expanding file, and the second something arrives home with me, the receipt's stapled inside the book (not outside - some of those stupid till receipts fade if there's even a small amount of light), and the book's filed in the appropriate section.

Yes mine's Braun too (just like Pink-winged). If you use it a lot - especially on things like chick peas you'll probably find the 450 watts useful.

Must say I'd be lost without mine.

I have a cookworks one with 2 speed settings, but I would use the food processor to make something more heavy duty like hoummous.

  • I had a braun stick blender for 17 years before it died and I've recently replaced it with this one...

It's on offer in argos at the moment reduced from £29.45 to £19.45. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Hi, this is the one I have, so am verrrrry grumpy to see that if I'd waited 2 weeks, I could have saved £10

Seriously, I love it, well worth £30, IMO! I had a Tesco cheapie, which died making pumpkin soup  It was rubbish.

Just to edit, if you used your clubcard when you bought your blender, they can check on their system as to when it was bought. 2 year guarantee, if I remember. So no need for receipt.

Please buy one with a metal shaft not these plastic ones which warp and melt - if you go for a braun buy the better one. IMHO it is much better and I have had mine for years and years and Yes I DO USE IT
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
  • Thumbs up for Braun here too - mine lasted 15 years before I chucked it in favour of a food processor!

Mines a pacific bought in asda for under £10. Can take metal part off to wash and came with a plastic measuring beaker. Used fairly often for past 3 years but not done anything more heavy duty than making baby food or blitzing mince enough to hide the veg;)
