I was given my (then second hand) basic Kenwood, no attachments etc, several years ago. I use it 2/3 times a week and it's still as good as ever. The only problem I have is the dog hates the noise and barks like crazy when it's on0

I have a Braun one that cost less than a tenner in the supermarket (I think it might have been £15 full-price). The only thing that came with it is a plastic cup thing. It's marvellous and I haven't missed having any other attachments.0

I bought this one earlier this year and love it. It's very powerful and well made. I've used all the attachments and like them too; the masher attachment is superb!!

P.S. - I paid over £50, I think nearer to £60 so the current deal looks to be very good!If you feel my comments are helpful then I'd love it if you 'Thanked' me!0 -
I have a lakeland own brand one which blends, whisks and has a chopper attachment that was about £25-30. It's really good, well good enough for me
Blends very well, fast, even powders nuts easily in the chopper. It's also very easy to clean.

Sparrer it's not a collie is it? I have the kenwood kmix and our collie was skipping circles in the kitchen when i was using it earlier to make a strawberry coulis!
I was bought the kmix as a birthday present but I think i've only used the food processor bit of i a couple of times but regularly use the stick blender & whisk attachment. I do a massive 10 portion bean soup with masses of beans and vegetables in every week and always use the stick blender and it's done in a few whizzes! I like the variable speed so that things don't end up flying round the kitchen!0 -
Thank you all for responding and I have put a note up the chimney asking for taxsaver's kenwood. OH loves mash potato and I find it a bit difficult these days but the Kenwood looks a good all-rounder. I have a small Swan blender (cracked I think through hot soup) and a Kenwood Chef (too heavy to keep lifting out of high cupboard and no space on the work surface), but right now I am time-poor and coming up to my busiest time of year in January so this contraption looks like something I will use a lot.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

becs he's a German Spitz, very similar colouring as a Border Collie just smaller Must be a certain note to the blender that they don't like. He does it to strimmers, too :doh:0 -
I have a tesco hand blender set, which i got on special offer.

I like this set because has a whisk (much needed), as well as a mini chopper attachment, invaluable for mincing onions, garlic, ginger, carrots. Plus blending jug, etc. Its got two speeds, and is a good all-rounder.0
