I've got a Philips Billy Blender which I've had for at least 10 years and it's still going strong.

I had a cheap supermarket one for ages and it was fine, only got rid when I bought one with all the attachments in Aldi this year.

Works OK ...Haven't used any of the attachments yet.

I have this one too. No problems with it at all. Use it three times a week on average & have had it probably 4 or 5 years now.

In my experience with cheap v expensive its not neccessarily the quality of the item but the follow up customer service - I got a dualit on form john lewis. The rrp was £60 but got it for £40 on offer - it broke entirely due to my fault but dualit still replaced it no questions asked and john lewis even refunded the postage costs to send it back. I love it and haven't used my goblet blender since I've had it

We bought one 4 years ago ish for £5 from Tesco and I used it to blend soup without giving the soup enough time to cool down so it broke. Bought another one from Tescos for a fiver again, even more powerful than the one I had before - whizzing stuff all over my counter :roftl:

    I'm very pleased with it.

I had one from Debenhams and it lasted a good 12 years; and when it broke I got one from T's for less than £3 and it's still going strong. I did use it today to whizz down some wine must, and forgot I'd put cherries from our tree in there - it didn't like the stones too much. But - it was still working when I twigged and took it out.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Hi Reverbe - I have a Braun one that was one of the most useful gifts I've ever been given. It came with some attachments - a whisk, mini blender and measure and I use it all the time for soups etc and the blender bit is great for breadcrumbs etc in small amounts.
I've had it for quite a few years now and its worth it weight in gold! :)

I've got a Tesco value stick blender, I think it cost less than £5. I've had it for about 7 years now and it's still going strong.

    It's this one:

    Hi Reverbe,

Like taplady I have a braun one and love it. I bought it to replace my old braun one that served me well for 17 years. Unfortunatley I don't think braun are making them any more but I recently bought one from lidl (cost circa £16) as my mincer attachment had died. The lidl one has all the attachments...jug, mincer, whisk etc. Well worth the cost.

As we have an existing thread on stick blenders I'll add your thread to it later to keep the posts together.
