And now the bad news ....
I just tried transferring a much larger amount (the first was a £1 "test") and it took the usual 3 days. So I guess there's a max amount they will allow through the fast payments system.

The website says that only "low value transactions" can be processed at present which fits in with the experiences of posters above.
  • Does anybody know what the FP limit is for Alliance & Leicester? I've sent £350 (RBS), £825 (RBS) and £1000 (Halifax) without success, but £6 (Halifax) went instantly. Also, is the limit per day, or can you send multiple payments up to the limit one after another?

A&L is £250 per day per receiving account. Not sure about 2 x £125 etc.
