You can set up a message to finish every post with. My signature is that silly thing about borrowing money you can see below (I must get myself a new one some time). If, instead of a message, I wrote "Sign up to my wonderful pyramid selling scheme and make $$$. Click here" or similar that would be spam in a signature.0

I received a Faster Payment from a Lloyds account on Friday. It was submitted online on Thursday, but went through dated in the small hours of Friday morning.0

I find the Faster Payments thing rather haphazard. I bank with LTSB and I read that you can only send by FP by phoning to arrange.
In July last year I sent £100 to Northern Rock e-saver by using the bill payment set up with LTSB and although it wasn't instant, when I phoned Northern Rock they said it was sent by FP. According to my LTSB statement it was FP too.
Since then, in the last week, I have phoned to send money to the Coventry BS, who accept FP. On both occasions I phoned, LTSB said, when I gave then the datails that it wouldn't or couldn't go FP but by the normal slow method. First time was £1500 which acually got to CBS in 2 days, then £3500 for which I phoned on 18 Feb and it couldn't go by FP and would leave on 19 Feb. It is still in limbo, I guess because of the weekend.
Also I sent money to Saga this week using the bill payment setup on LTSB, and expected several days to transfer, but I was surprised when Saga got it the day it was scheduled to leave my LTSB account, Saga statement online indicating it was by FP!! But my LTSB statement online indicates BP for Bill Payment, the method I sent it!
As I say - haphazard - unreliable and sometimes surprising!0 -
I sent less than £500 pounds from my Lloyds TSB account to a Tesco savings account on Wednesday using internet banking, and it was sent as a faster payment the next working day. I tried sending a few thousand pounds from Lloyds to the same savings account on Thursday, and it hasn't arrived yet. It looks like Lloyds are now using faster payments where possible, but only for smaller amounts.0
