Why are some people on here being so nasty?

I agree. :T
I love the way he's seen right through LillyJ's self-importance !!!!!!!! and Izzy's oh-so-hard decision making and literally taken every one of their posts apart to show the holes in them. Saved me the job of doing it anyway.
Well done DD !

p.s. I'm still waiting for you to show me where I was really rude to Conrad...
I meant that you are deluding yourself because you believe that you have won an argument if you make the other person angry....you've won nothing - you have just made someone angry. They could have become angry for many reasons not have nothing to do with the persuasiveness of your argument.
P.s. Do you really not know why Conrad might want to have a go at you?Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

Oh no - he's got a cheer leader:whistle:. Mission accomplished - DD has got something to do...wind up everyone on the house board now that he's bored with the pensions board and the MFW board (or everyone got bored with him:rolleyes:)
Bye - I've got better things to do, like watch the tennis.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

There are many people on the internet who enjoy abit of banter but don't you think that you should watch out for the vulnerable? You say people on this board aren't supportive enough and then lay into someone who is obviously not up for an argument and is getting wound up and is using very emotive language. The signals are there that someone is upset - why ignore them?
As for the friends, enemies, stuff I was just trying to worn Issy, in particular, that she wasn't unique and that she is just one of a long line of posters you have tangled with. Why assume everybody is robust?
Sorry but that's !!!!!!!!. Life often sucks and if you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen. No-one is forcing anyone to be on these forums and have to read stuff they don't want to hear/see. There is a little X in the top right corner of the screen that quickly solves this problem, or of course the 'ignore' button.

Er yeah, you think you are. Just read what you've written in most of your posts on this thread. As DD pointed out (in a round-about way), no-one gives a toss that you've
* had 183 promotions in the last 6 months
* can pay your mortgage off in a week
* your bloke is a high-flying Pig and he is solely responsible for achieving the lowest area crime rate in the world.
...amongst other things which I've forgotten about because I fell asleep after the 2nd line.
Tell someone who cares, perhaps?

I think someone has a case of reading between the lines, much like our friend DD.

I really don't agree with your logic here.
Noone forces us to walk down streets where we might get mugged, so does that make the mugger ok to do it?
No one forces kids to smoke/drink/take drugs...does that make the shopkeppers/dealers in the right?
Really, I love the vehement debate and discusion, but I can imagine someone vulnerable stubling in here for advice on their house and being driven to desperate measures, not just by the 'facts' but by the way they are presented.0 -

And people who use terms like Pig are normally wannabe hardmen who would !!!!!! their pants if a policeman so much as said "boo" to them, but act like they're from the ghetto, innit.
Incidentally I haven't ever been promoted, I'm on a graduate management scheme.0 -

There you go again, coming out with your "I'm better than you" self-importance.
The problem is that you're so wrapped up in it that you just can't see it. The only slightly forgiving factor is that you're still a kid and still have a lot to learn about life (clearly).

I really don't see what relevance your reply had to my post you've quoted. Your comparison is about as apples and oranges as it gets.
