BabyT is right. In our opinion it's not worth the waste on petrol. It's well and truelly disgusting! Haven is so much better and like luxury compared to Pontins. If something is not to your standards you have every right to complain even if it was FREE. After all I'm sure this offer is meant to entice people to return. They have to be dreaming if they think that families will actually return. It was the longest 4 days of my life but we hardly spent any time at the park. We used it more like a base and as the weather was favourable we went to the beach everyday. The entertainment smelt of vomit and we didn't dare walk around without shoes just in case we caught something in the chalet. This place gives a new
meaning to the word dirty!!
I don't know how old your little one is but if she/he is mobile I'm not sure what you can do....but if not a playmat is a good idea as you wouldn't want to put she/he down on the floor.
I am not being essentially negative but very honest. Have a good time anyway.0 -
Hi. Just have to say that I went a couple of years ago with my young twins for a three night break & sorry to say but I hated ever single minute of it. We only live about 20 miles away from Camber so we stayed one night and then drove home. It's not really a place for very young children and we found the chalet dirty and totally disgusting. Everything stank of damp or smoke (sorry those that do but not nice for those who don't). My husband ended up sleeping on the put up bed in the 'lounge area' and it was damp-with what???? Sorry but we hated every single minute of it and never, ever would I go back there again. Sorry to spoil your hols but for warned and all that...plus if the weather is a bit rubbish you are a bit stuck for things to do around there. P.S While we were in the chalet someone walked in on us! He had a key but the wrong number chalet!0

me and my boyfriend played a game when we went for drives its a bit disgusting and probly shouldnt be played around kids that understand(my sons 2yrs so didnt understand) its like the number plate game but with road kill. we had a points system for each animal and they had to be on your side of the road (so you can play again on the way back) as the road to camber is a tiny little country road (beware if you aint used to driving country roads as the locals expect you to drive 100miles an hr down them even with a hgv lorry coming towards you) the animals ranged from thesants rabbits foxes and hedgehogs i think.
also the camp is full of rabbits which is really cute they mostly come out early morning and late afternoon/early evening.
for all yous that are thinking... i am an animal lover it was just a game:pIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
We stayed at Cambersand twice and my kids loved it although we prefere Hemsby. The beach is about 5 minutes walk but it is very windy. You can get the bus in to Camber which is lovely. loads of shops and a fantastic beach safe for the littleones. I found the younger kids love the entertainment and all had a good time. I;m off to Hemsby on the 27th june freebie weekend then again on the 11th July for the £60 weekend break. My kids love Hemsby as it is a smaller site and they get to know all the staff. Everyone is friendly and he beach and amusements about a 5/10 minute walk. Anyone at Hemsby on those dates Ill see you thereCompetitions wins 2010

Don't worry its not so bad at pontins camber sands me my wife and kids have alway a great time there. I have nothing bad to say about the camp. The appartment is the luck of the draw you may get one of the new but you may also get one of the old ones. But at the end of the day its free (i upgraded to classic for £40 pounds).
I am sure you will have a good time the staff are very friendly and willing to help if there is a problem.
   Hope to see you there and don't worry about the negative comments.:money: :money: :money:
Hope you have a lovely week too0 -

But if I get a fright like that....my Scream will wake the whole place up!!
Nice n Lively then.......Chicken...love it0
