take a sharp knife with you, theirs are pants.
when you leave your chalet every day, turn the stove, water heater ect off at the mains, just leave the fridge plugged in this helps with elec consumption which you must pay for
call now and ask for a disabled access room which guarentees you a ground floor and a bath that has a seat on one end.which i am sire will be helpful.

Ta Beans....thats fab tips, will call now, we do have a ground floor though already, but the bath with a seat will be better for her

If you are planning on going to the evening entertainment
Buy a character cup for for your little girl, (about 1.99) and fill it up each night before you go out...will save you a bomb.
If you have a pound shop/ cheap shop, try and buy things like Glow Sticks, flashing jewlery, Flashing wands etc.. they always have these on sale and they cost a bomb on the site during the evening.
Also
Check your fridge on arrival the cleaners normally turn it right down to the lowest setting.
and check the camp shop opening times so you don't have a wasted trip in the morning LOL (like i did last year:rotfl: )
And don't forget to check the Whats on Booklet for times of meeting the charactors for your little girl!!
HTH
Hope you Have a great time....:D:D:D:D
Where's the Coffee?? Show me the Coffee NOW!!0 -
hello check your electric in your room first before buying some as i had £4.20 on mine already and my friend had £25 so neither of us had to buy electric. also my meter was broken as the dial wasnt going round so it stayed on £4.20 the whole time even when i used cooker and heating.
also check out the romney, hythe and dymchurch railway at www.rhdr.org.uk its a miniture steam railway and its great ive been on it twice once when it was my sons 2nd birthday and when we went to camber sands on our pontins holiday last week.
bring big mugs as their cups are silly little tea cups that fit a mouthful of tea/coffee in it. i went asda and bought a few smart price ones as didnt want to brake my good ones.
there is a costcutter just across the road from the pontins site which is cheaper than their nisa shop.
dont buy anything from their chicken shop in the pub bit unless you like your chicken cremated.
try to get to the beach just as the tide is going out as it goes out for miles and by the time i had walked to the sea to have a paddle i was knackard and wanted to go home.
the arcade is a proper rip off most of the machines pay out in pontins tickets and you need about a million to have enough to get a key ring.
buy one of their pontins charater children cups as it workes out cheaper to get them drinks as i think it was under £2 for the first drink in the cup but then everytime you take the cup up there the refils are only 69p instead of the £1-£1.50 which is good if you plan to go to the shows.
thats all i can think of at the momentIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0 -
also there is a budgens supermakek in rye which is the nearest town for the bigger shoppingIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0

sorry preggy brain that should read supermarketIf you want to see the rainbow ,you gotta put up with some rain0

With the location on Pointin being so close to the beach, which can be quiet windy take a kite great fun as the kids can do this easily and cheaply. that the right equipment to take a picnic or a smal disposable BBq to the beach also that is fun. My friend and i take our children who's ages range from 14 to 5 bats, balls. kits, swim gear, buckets ect, towle and talc (get sand off skin easly better than just drying) and you'll have a fun filled cost free day. Get you shopping on your way to the site (If traveling by car). i hope you have a great time with you family and fingers crossed for the weather too.

Hi Heavenly
I'm sure you will have a lovely time. Camber beach is beautiful. I don't know whether you drive? If not there is a bus service that runs past your camp that will take you to Dymchurch where you can catch the train that has been mentioned. Dymchurch is a lovely little town, with some nice cafes, a little funfair etc.
Rye is lovely for cream teas and a look round the cobbled streets and harbour; as someone mentioned earlier, its good for your groceries and the butchers sells lovely sausages, plus they do fab fresh fish from a little hut. However the hills are quite steep which could be a problem for your gran?
On site is rather expensive, so you'll be better off going out for the day if you are able to.
I always take with me initial stocks of hot/cold drinks, washing up liquid, brushes, bleach etc, all the basic things you use every day - as the cost of these add up if you forget them and can't get off site to purchase them.
Hope you have a lovely time and the weather is kind to you.
My mum has a caravan in Dymchurch - wave to her as you passI'm a nutter :j0 -
