i am in the same position as many of u except for i paid for the tickets using my debit card? does anyone know if it is possible to get the money back from the bank? Thanks0

This is the second time I have been ripped off buying George Michael tickets.
The first ones I bought on Ebay and to be fair the person I was buying from was caught out. The second ones were from SOSMasterticket. I also spoke to somebody there before I bought the tickets and all seemed fine.
I had an email from them towards the end of last week saying my tickets would be with me Monday or Tuesday and of course their phones and website have been closed down.
For the second time in a month I will have to contact my credit card company and say once again I will not be getting the tickets. My friend has paid me the money already so I now owe her money as well and plus we still have no tickets. I have been looking on Ebay again but am now frightened in case it happens again.
In the past I have bought lots of tickets from Ebay and other sources and nothing has ever happened but as the other people have stated when I went onto Google SOSMasterticket was the first site to show. I suppose I have to inform the police and also trading standards but I expect they will just open up under another name as soon as they can.
Any ideas where I can obtain George Michael Tickets from?:(0 -

Fortunately I have kept all my confirmation emails, copies of their T's & C's (if anyone needs them - please email me). They have overcharged me for the Madonna tickets (only just noticed that). I bought the Madonna tickets in April and GM in June. I've only just started searching on them after a very abrupt phone call with a woman who hung up on me - which started me thinking.
I paid with my debit card online (I bank with Abbey Nat) who have said that they can only dispute transactions less than 60-days old. So I have a hope of getting the June (GM) payments back.Nightmare...just heard today on radio 1 about sosmasterticket and the V festival & reading tickets and thought it sounded familiar. As soon as got home checked out my Madonna confirmation and I bought tickets from SOS for the 11-09-08 concert at Wembley. On just checking out the internet I've found to my horror, the website is now down and phone number rings dead!!! I just can't believe it. Never been conned on the internet before and feel gutted. Haven't seen Madonna since 1992 and was really looking forward to it. I also paid on credit card, but back in May, gonna call them now. Any chance you could send me a copy of the T&Cs, as I did not keep them. thanks0 -

we bought it online through SOS Master tickets on 5/7/08 and thought nothing of the purchase at the time. I'm sure we checked out a report on the website at the time, and although i found a decent one, i've not found any since I started wondering where the ticket is!
We've transferred the bank balance over to another account today. and cancelled the card in case of any further transactions being taken from it. I can't get hold of their london phone number and would love to hear from anybody with either experience in the bank industry, or people who've suceeded in reclaiming their cash in this situation recently (as above quote mentions).
I really need to know whether we could reclaim the money through the bank (paid by visa debit card) and where I could seek further official guidance. I know credit cards offer certain protection for items that aren't recevied but where do I stand with Visa Debit?
Please help!
Hi just thought i would let you know that SOS Masterticket/ SOS Ticketmaster are a con, myself and friends bought tickets for Vfest was supposed to collect tickets ther on the day but recieved an email from the company saying no tickets and that will be refunded by 29th Aug, i have gone onto the web tonight to look at their site and whoy and behold it has disapeared, you can however get your money back as i have rang my bank tonight they have cancelled my debit card to prevent any further transactions and i have to go inot the branch tomo to fill in a fraud form and they will refund the money, just make sure that you contact your bank or credit card company asap...0 -

A mate of mine got ripped off too for reading festival tickets, the worst thing being that i let him use my cc for the transaction (assuming he'd checked them out) as they wouldn't accept his solo card. What I really hate is that apparently the reason they've done so well is because they made a deal with google to make sure that their site would turn up first in searches:mad:. I can claim the money back but its still a pain. This might be a silly question but does anyone know if being ripped off and having to reclaim off them will affect my credit rating at all?0

Stupidly I have also bought tickets from there for V festival....safe to say that I did not get those tickets and so I was not able to go...however they did email me (two days before) to say that they could not provide tickets and would provide a full refund....i've had no such refund so my partner has been on to the credit card company and they are hopefully going to sort it out for us. But has anyone else noticed that the website has now suddenly disappeared...i've emailed them and tried to call and got absolutely nothing...think they might have done a bunk?!0

I can confirm that Natwest Mastercard have said refunds will be issued under the 'goods not received' policy. My eight tickets for Coldplay in December are definitely not going to turn up!0
