Sos Mastertickets

Options
Hello, wonder if anyone has any advice for me please. Think I may have done a silly thing!! Yesterday I ordered 3 Tina Turner tickets from SOS Mastertickets via the internet, they came to £375 plus £4 something for Registered Delivery, I paid with my credit card. This site was the first one that came up when I put Tina Turner concert into Google. I have since been reading some pretty bad stuff about SOS Mastertickets, stuff like "they are bogus website and you will not get your tickets etc etc". When I had another look at their site there is an address for them which is in Spain, but their phone number is in London, which seemed little odd. I did call the number and someone did answer saying I would receive tickets about a month before concert. Have to say tho he did not sound very professional!! I called my credit card company this morning to see if could stop payment they said no cant do that. Just need to know if anyone knows anything about SOS Mastertickets? And if there was a problem would Google be liable at all, and if I did not receive the tickets would my credit card company refund the money? I now realise I should have done a little research before ordering from this site. Apart from the money side of it I dont think will get to see Tina again and would be tragic if this all went wrong. Hopefully someone can help me!! Thanks Bev

Why would Google be liable  You clicked the link, you entered your dredit card details, you clicked the order confirmation button....

Yes, I think you do have a few rights there - I'm sure someone will fill you in with the details.

I thought that orders over the internet were covered by the Distance Selling rules ( http://www.berr.gov.uk/consumers/fact-sheets/page38102.html ) and therefore you do have a cooling off period ( 7 days - so be quick )

Did they get any good reviews ? Sometimes you have to weigh up the pro's and con's with reviews and make and educated decision. ( But yes, you should have done some research first )

Having said that - the tickets might turn up ok :-)

    Have a look here:

It talks about the no questions asked 7 day cooling off period for internet purchases.

Hello all, thanks for your replies to my post about SOS Masterticket. My credit card fraud team have since called me to say they have not authorised this payment as it came from Spain and I dont usually use my card in Spain. I explained to them again what I had done and they said if I did not want to authorise the payment when it was presented again then it would not go through. So obviously I said dont authorise it, bit confused as to why I could not do this yesterday. Anyway all is ok thankfully as they payment will not go through. I have since ordered the tickets (at a much greater cost!!) from Ticketmaster. The reason I said about Google being liable was, just thought if they are showing dodgy web sites on their web page then might have a come back on them. Suppose they cannot check every single site though eh!! The Trading Standards stuff was all very helpful too. Thanks all again. Bev

I want to also talk about my recent experience with SOS Masterticket.

I recently bought 2 Madonna tickets to a concert in Melbourne Australia in Nov 2008.

I was in London at the time and there for did not realize that it had been announced in the Australian Media that Madonna did not plan to tour Australia for the Stick and Sweet Tour.

SOS MAsterticket refused to acknowledge this and said 'We believe Madonna is touring Australia'. When I asked for my money back they became very rude and difficult!!

Whatever you do DO NOT BUY FROM SOS MASTERTICKET. They are a criminal organization based out of Spain.

PLEASE DON'T GET SCAMMED AS I WAS

Luckily I just was reimbursed through my bank fraud department for this scam
  • Hi all. THank you for your terrible stories. I too have bought tickets for Madonna on the 13th September. For those of you who have managed to get a refund, can you please inform me of how you went about it? I used my debit card & am worried I'm not going to get my money back. I bought the tickets for myself & my friend for her birthday & she is flying to London from Australia to see her. I am absolutely devistated! PLease help!
