Sos Mastertickets

I brought 3 weekend tickets for Leeds festival from SOS ticket master on 31-3-08. They since changed their name to SOS master ticket. As with all tickets of this type you don't get the tickets until a couple of weeks prior to the event. I should have received the tickets about 2 weeks ago. They have not arrived. I did think I was buying from the same company I bought from last year 'ticket master' but they are a different company! I bought the tickets for my son daughter and a friend. many of their other friends also purchased from this site. Not one has received their tickets. I emailed the company several weeks ago and received a reply confirming my order and stating that the tickets would be posted by recorded delivery 2 weeks prior to the event. I have emailed them several times this week and received no reply. I have tried to call them and the line appears to be dead and now the website is unavailable also! One of my son’s friends called SOS MT last week and the person they spoke to confirmed that they would get the tickets -they have not received them.
I don't know how thes people sleep at night. Losing the money is bad enough but I am especially I am gutted for my son, daughter and their friends who now have no tickets .
I have reported to my bank and to watchdog, I've also been advised to contact the police as this is theft.   ...0 -
You do realise that they charged inflated prices for the tickets, heres a link from bbc site

I have just read all the comments re SOS Mastertickets having received a nice email from someone after I was trying to sell my friend's ticket for next week's George Michael Concert at Earls Court re the above Company and the NON-likelihood of the tickets arriving. I am gob-smacked. I have just rung NatWest Access (Mastercard) who have passed on my details etc., to their Retail Disputes Service regarding 'scam' websites. They are going to get back to me on Monday. Fortunately, I paid for my four tickets with my credit card so I should be covered but it has ruined plans for next weekend, I have the train tickets, the hotel is booked and now I think I will have to find something else to do there!!!! I have kept all my confirmation emails, T's and C's of sale so if I can help anyone else, please post. Debbie:A
Hi
I would be really grateful if you could send me the copy of the Ts & Cs you have. I kept the confirmation emails but I think that these would be useful for dealing with my credit card company. I have also been stung and feel twice as stupid, I originally purchased Madonna tickets, I thought I had investigated them well, I even rang and spoke to a very nice girl who gave me lots of advice about where to sit etc. My wife then said she would also like to see George Michael, naively I again purchased tickets from SOS Masterticket, again I spoke to them and they were very helpful etc etc. Bottom line is they have over £600 of our money and have disappeared. Fortunately I also paid on my credit so may get the money back, but to be honest that is not the issue, my wife is gutted that she will not be getting to see George Michael, which she has always wanted to do, in what he has announced will be his final tour. She is upset and I am upset that she is, I only hope that the people that are responsible for SOS Masterticket, their associates, family members and pets, all meet sudden and painful deaths, maybe involving a freak boating accident, honestly drowning is too good for these people.0 -
Looks like you're not the only one!

Hi,
Purchased the tickets with a Virgin credit card, and my wife tells me the T&C's of the card say purchases of tickets isn't covered - can this be correct? Can they get round their Consumer Credit Act liabilities?
Regards,
MarkP
Some one please tell me they can't just exclude tickets from it? Otherwise surely they could just put "Consumer Credit Act does not apply to us" in their T&Cs & we'd just stick it in the recycling bag with all the other rubbish they send us & carry on using as normal!
What do we have to do to get reimbursed if they stick to this stance?
This whole thing's a mess!0 -
I would suggest you do the following (I know it works, because I have seen it done before).
Call the credit card company and advise them that you want to charge back the transaction.
The transaction is a card holder not present transaction and therefore you can say that YOU did not intitate the transaction.
The card company will then contact "SOS Ticket Master" and ask them to prove that YOU made the transaction, as they are no longer around they will not be able to do this.
Your credit card company will then reverse the transaction and provide you with a refund, you can do this up to 6 mths after the purchase for a card holder not present transaction.
The credit card company would very much like to keep your business and therefore will side with you 99% of the time. I believe this only to work for credit cards, but worth a try if you used a debit card.

Hi well it seems that thousands have been ripped of by SOS Ticketmaster,i myself have been ripped of by them by ₤206.95 for a ticket for the leeds festival,i bought it for my partner as i present he got a weekend ticket and bought a early entry ticket elsewhere and like everyone else the weekend ticket hasn't arrived,he has got another one and has gone today but we had to lend money for it,ive contacted, watchdog, police, and trading standards,i got the link for SOS through the magazine NME so thought it would be ok,i paid by debit card to be told im not covered,i have since found out that i that i might be and have contacted TSB again today and they already heard of SOS and said they will investigate and should be able to get my cash back,But was advised to cancel my debit card as SOS have my details and could try to get more money out of my bank,so people be aware,These company's have to be stopped need as many people to speak out about them to get something done about it.Sorry to hear its happened to all you guys to.:mad:0

Once everyone has a refund (fingers crossed) I just hope these scam sites are not forgotten about until the next big scandal. Something needs to be done because this is happening year after year for all these big events! Government needs to step in, how can these sites be allowed to advertise on google/in the ad sections on certain websites?? They need to be stopped. Good Luck to all in getting money back, it's just awful.0

Ripped off to the tune of £205 for Reading festival. Rang them and had e mail confirmation tickets would arrive by Royal Mail special delivery. NOTHING!. Have contacted my credit card company who say I should be reimbursed eventually. The amount will be frozen til then. Can't believe I have fallen for this. Son now armed with cash hoping to get a ticket on the door!!!0

Hi
Looks like lots of folk have been 'done' including my daughter. She ordered her ticket from them ages ago and like many folk were taken in by the very professional looking website. She also checked the company was registered on the companyhouse.gov.uk website and it was in London. SOSMasterticket were answering the phone last week saying she would still get her Leeds festival ticket but now the phones are dead and the web site is 'experiencing technical problems' yeh right more likely they have p.....d off with lots of peoples money. People like this make me sick.0
