  • I know the last post to this forum was some time ago, but found out that Forces Cars Direct offer discounts to armed forces personnel. If you're based in the UK you can save up to 30% or if you're posted overseas you get tax free savings too, so up to 55% off new and used cars and motorbikes.

Just in case anyone else dooesn't know, Burtons no longer do military discount. I asked the other day and was told it was stopped and the option is no longer on their till, same for NHS discount.
  • Orange Mobile Phones:
On production of a HM Forces payslip - not a MOD90 ID card as they need to photocopy for proof
    will offer either ...
£20 off a pay as you go mobile
    or
    10% off mobile on contract.

Might come in handy for Christmas !!

I believe it is instore only.
  • hi there,

If you go to "shades of green" on the disney site you can get discounted tickets for all major attractions around Florida. Shades is basically a US military holiday site but is open to UK personnel with an ID card. We went to BUSCH Gardens and seaworld for free whilst there and have now done it a couple of times. you can either register now at herosalute.com or go to your own Armed Forces queue at the gates. Never had a problem getting whole family in for free. Disney not so kind but you can get discounts as above.
    enjoy.....!!
  • Great thread - sorry if I missed it when I flicked through? But does anyone know if you can still do the london theatre discounted tickets? I booked it a couple of years back for me and my husband when he was away last time but he was delayed by two weeks so we couldn't go. So would be lovely to do it again when he comes back from afghanistan at the end of this month.

Just a reminder on this thread. Do not allow anyone to take a copy of your MoD90 in relation to obtaining a discount....

Hi, I read on this thread about an 'MOD forces discount book' - where can I get one of these? Haven't seen one at my unit yet

    Hi,

    Well the website is here:

    http://www.forcesdiscounts-mod.co.uk/

On the contact details page, if you e-mail them they will send you a hard copy booklet. Just be aware though that some discounts do change over the course of a year and the hard copy booklet can be out of date at times. I find the website has the latest and current offers on it.

There is another booklet that is available via ArmyNet or you should be able to get it from your unit libraries, admin office or HIVE facilities. There are more discounts available via ArmyNet than in http://www.forcesdiscounts-mod.co.uk/
