Actually, I'd love to get my hands on their system and debug it..... but I doubt it's written in a language I've used, so would possibly take me a tad longer to do than I'd like. But if it isn't in one of 'my' languages, there's a pretty even chance my DS would be able to tackle it ;)

It's in php, you can see it at the end of the url when you log in. It's free to use too. You need Apache, MySQL and PHP installed and your ready to go. Oh you need a text editor too. Need to know html and css first though.

You can get a feel of the language here:

I've heard of (and used a tiny bit of) HTML

I'm a Cobol, Adabas Natural, CSP, VAGen, DB2, and VSAM user/programmer.

i-measure definitely sounds more DS's kettle of fish, but with it being Internet based I expected that to be the case :rolleyes2

Meters read - albeit about an hour earlier than normal

Both gas an electricity down a touch. The electricity isn't down as much as I'd have liked given elder DS hasn't been here at all this week, but we had almost 48 hours without him last week (so not a full weeks savings from this) and I've had my washing machine (and tumble drier) on more this week -- so I'm happy enough with the results ;)

Just a shame our 'per person' for the weeks electricity is above average. The above average for the last quarter I'm not as bothered about, as I changed the household from 3 people to 2 people on 18th Nov -- but with the exception of just short of 3 weeks we've actually had elder DS here (so would be more accurate divided by 3, which would be 26kWh per person and bring us under the average).

We're a 'C' rating again, which makes 6 weeks in a row (and 8 in 14, the others being 3xB and 3xD -- so pretty consistent with this :rolleyes2 )

And for what it's worth we currently show as 3/49 in the Carbon Group.

Good news fellow money savers. BG have reduced my DD on gas to £37 - at its highest it was £59 so that's a saving of £22 per month. Not bad:T

    smiley_jumping.gifWell Done you :D
  • Hi SMF2, :hello:

Just wanted to say thanks again for this thread as it's really kickstarted us into watching our usage (although the lack of logs over December & January have conspired against us on the gas front!),

Last year for the quarter 6/10/07 - 5/1/08 cost £236.89 for dual fuel. The same period ending 5/1/09 was only £201.90 which, bearing in mind the price hikes, we are chuffed to bits with.:j

I started following this thread about June/July time and you can really notice it in our Energy Tracker chart so it will be intersting to see what happens this quarter in comparison to next year.

    Cheers!

  • wow lots of savings well done all.

According to my bill that I have just checked and has a bar chart on the back electricity has gone from 796 to 367 and gas has gone from 2816 to 1752. Last years are based on estimates but the trend is down anyway.
