Just taken (and entered) this weeks readings.
Both gas and electric use lower than the precious week, by 23kWh and 5kWh respectively. This has brought my CO2 down from 62kg to 55kg.Cheryl0 -
Sorry if I'm being daft but where on the imeasure site do you find out how you are doing compared to others? eg, 32nd out of 450

Hi, I am actually over in Spain at the moment and the i-measure readings refer to my home in England. The gas central heating is on to kick in at 10C (to prevent my pipes freezing) and the electricity only gets used when my son pops in to check everything over. We don't need any heating here - we were sat out in the sun for lunch in the shade as it was too warm otherwise. Sorry!
Rose

Ah! That explains all re the low useage. Thanks for posting but I rather hoped you would let everyone into the secret of 'perfect' entropy. Enjoy Spains warmth and 'vaya con dios'. It's a bit nippy here at night but that's mainly down to the damp. I'm disappointed in having to have my heating on so much, but I have been feeling crap for the last 10 days due to flu.
If any MSE people are in the Portsmouth/Southsea area, please join my Sustainable Southsea Carbon Club on i-measure. I'm trying to get people interested in environmental responsibility and saving money If I can point my friends and associates at the enlightened MSE types on these carbon clubs, I'm sure they will be impressed , and consider changing from the apathetic grumblers they seem to be.;)

P.S. I don't see this as the normal type of societal competition, rather more like good old humanistic peer encouragement when the chips are down!0 -

After you fill in your meter readings, click on 'results' in the top right hand blue bar under the Oxford uni logo. Scroll down to under your carbon rating badges and you'll see your ranking along with the amount you've spent. If you click on 'view ranking graphs' you'll see the top 5. Hope this helps.0 -
I'm sure I being daft but cant see it:rolleyes:
Under results I have from the top down:
I have a graph showing usage since I started
then carbon rating all users,
then carbon rating compared to my type of property,
then how much have I've spent.
then last my meter readings
Nothing saying ranking0 -

I'm wondering whether you've joined the MoneySaving Carbon Club. I don't see you as annie123 on the members list (unless you joined with another name?). It's the only reason I can think of for you not seeing the rankings, as they should be there between the bottom carbon badge and the 'how much have I spent' section

Just done my carbon calculations for the year so I can see the rolling y / y carbon. I have finally dropped below 1,000 kg to 980 kg. :j:j:j
gas - 1,706 kWh, electricity 1,188 kWh. Gas will probably stay the same but electricity usage is less than last year so still coming down.0 -
I thought I had, but have just done it again.
Wish I hadn't, I'm the wrong side of the centre of the graph:o infact 40th out of 49:eek:
Must try harder:rolleyes::o
Thank you for your help:D0 -
ooooooh, hello everyone on the thread
I've only just found this thread! I'm seeing a couple of names here that I often see over on i-measure.
Rose Wood - I'm pleased to see your post above, I could not work out how your weekly results were so low...it makes sense now!
We are a household of 7 - 2 adults and 5 kids, end of terrace with gas CH. This week my i-measure results are AA and I'm 6th out of 50 in the MSE carbon club. We don't have the CH on at the moment, but I expect it will be turned on in the next week or so.
I'm off to read the last couple of weeks of the thread to catch-up with how everyone is doing.0
