I'm so infuriated with myself!!!! It turns out that my email address on my CV is WRONG (yahoo.co.uk rather than correct yahoo.com) So stupid of me, and now I'm imagining all these jobs I might have got had I not been so careless.... grrrrr!

Have you tried registering for that email address on yahoo.com?After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500

George - I tried, but the user name was unavailable - I emailed the address but it bounced back. I've only contacted agencies so far, so I'll just send my CV with the correct email address again, wording the cover letter so I don't sound too much of a muppet. I still have more, and possibly better agencies to try...
I've sorted out what I'm wearing, so that's one less thing to worry about! I need to run through questions and read up a bit more on the company tonight.

Most councils do not permit to pay over 12 months only over 10 months, it seems a little unfair to me that some allow 12 months but most do not.
I think you have done a great job cutting down on your SOA, maybe the DMP is the way forward, contact one of the debt charities and see what they say.
You have made amazing progress :T in such short space of time.

OMG - that looks a little healthier!!!!!! I may have been unrealistic about diesel costs, and I've cut out payments to the credit cards as that was our intention... but what with saving on bills and putting accurate figures in like council tax over 10 months not 12 plus realising one sum was for swimming lessons (stopped for the moment), and my husband cutting out his voluntary pension payments for the time being and taking his bonus over the year rather than a lump sum, things look better. Perhaps we can go on a DMP rather than the scary £1/month scenario??!! First letter already gone though....

I have added some comments in above, can I ask is the life insurance for the both of you? It seems low for 2 persons, it is very important the "housewife" is covered also, especially if you have dependant children.

Thanks T.O.H. debtweary and Merlot! I feel ok about the interview at the moment...
Merlot - well I guess 10 years ago I'd have said no, of course I don't need a mobile but now, with four children in school by £25/m contract means that school can get hold of me if one of them isn't well. £10/m PAYG is for my 13 yr old who travels 30 miles by train to school. Wehn my contract ends (abt 10 months) I will definitely think about a PAYG for me too - I don't care about upgrades. Life insurance is for both of us, yes. It would pay out £100,000 if one or both of us dies. Endwoment life insurance would pay off our mortgage and my husband has death in service benefit which I think is three times his gross annual salary. It may not be enough for our 4 children and maybe we should think about increasing it, in the event of my death at least. Car insurance is for two cars.... Water rates are not metered, and I've done a test to see whether we'd pay less if we were - answer, no... And I fear you're right about groceries -I think we'll have to allow more, what with pet food etc. I was only going by this week's shop! Thanks for your helpful comments. I will talk to the debt charities on Monday. I think I have enough energy reserves to get through to the end of the week - I'm feeling so tired right now that I can't face more calls etc. In fact I'm going to go to bed now.....I can't read any more about the company I have an interview at. And I'm going to stop thinking about all the tricky questions they might ask, if I can!
