BOB XBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hello
Well I don't know what you all did, but the interview went really well. The company is five minutes drive from my house, the people were lovely, the job seems challenging but I feel confident that I could rise to it, and they seemed to like me. I was with them for an hour and 45 mins, and they called the agency straight after I left asking me to come for a video conference call with the Paris office tomorrow afternoon! I can't quite believe it!!

...that will be a second interview, they haven't offered me the job yet, and may not, but it looks good if tomorrow goes well! Even if it doesn't, the fact that they responded so positively has given me a huge self-confidence boost for looking at other things.

Well done forgetmenot,
Your confidence must be sky high! Use that to great advantage tomorrow for your video conference. You can do it, you know you can. Relax and chill tonight, you deserve it. x0 -
Thank you T.O.H.

Downsides are the money is not amazing, and I still have to sort childcare (summer holiday looming too  ), but I feel fantastically upbeat about it -I'm grateful they were willing to see me when I haven't worked for 14 years, they're on my doorstep and they're nice. Those things cancel out the negatives I think! And maybe they'll negotiate money - they've been interviewing for two months and haven't found the right person yet, (and told the agency they thought I was "fantastic".... I wish there was a blushing smiley here....) so if they offer me the job I think I could be in a good position for that. Fingers crossed....!
My husband just came back and said what I felt... "Well this has been one f***ing weird week!"

Hi again,
my youngest child attends a holiday club at the primary school, as well as after school and sometimes breakfast club when OH is working away. It is an absolute godsend and a lot cheaper than other clubs provided in the community. Most schools provide this and your child can sometimes attend even if he/she does not attend the school. My son always meets up with another lad from a different school every holiday and they are terrific friends.
It might be worth investigating. x0 -
Well, you must've done something right, 'cos it sounds like they were v.impressed, and, much as you might have been none too confident, your positive outlook on life must have shone through.
If things like childcare and kids holidays look a bit daunting now, I'm sure bit by bit you'll be able to sort them, especially with everyone's tips and advice on here - just look how much you've achieved over the last week!!!LHS No 2220 -
