If you have a problem with not tracking or wrong cashback - go to their facebook pages and post comment - they were very quick for me.:T

Mine isn't quite as good as some but I got contents insurance from M&S for £47.80 and the £45 cashback is tracking through Quidco. I'm delighted with my cheapest home insurance ever :D

Buy L&G home insurance buildings-and-contents before 31/1/12 and get £75 M&S vouchers. Online or call, quoting code E157.
    legalandgeneral.com/e157

Only problem is it's not working online, as soon as you try to complete the quote with E157 entered, it gives an error "Unfortunately we are currently having some technical problems".

I emailed L&G some days ago and they replied that E157 is a known problem. Yet it's still not working!

If they do ever get it working online then this looks quite a bargain if you also go thru TCB for a possible £51.50 cashback.

E157 appears to be working online now! (well, it doesn't throw up an error anyway) :j

My apologies - TCB state that if you go for the vouchers, you won't get the cashback as well.
  • I only require contents insurance, I got this for £37.24 from Marks & Spencer, with cashback of £46.35 from TopCashback, and 1000 M&S points, so £19.11 return... :-)

After reading Martin's book and following his instructions I have just saved a massive whopping £367.08 on my home insurance!!! For a first time I think this is excellent. I have building and contents insurance with the Halifax and hadn't changed for 5 years. They were going to charge me £556.78 for the pleasure. I did as Martin suggests and checked all the comparison web sites and the firms who do not advertise on them and then went to Beat That Quote who came up with excellent suggestions. I then went back to the Halifax and told them, they couldn't beat it and after trying to put me off with stories of hidden costs of rebuilding your entire house as there offer was unlimited and the Beat the Quote was £500,000 I was put through to Lloyds TSB. Who could give me an excess of £100 even for water damage, taking into account 3 instances when I inquired about claiming even when I didn't, plus covered my daughters lap top out of the home, with contents up to £50,000 for £249.70 with £60 cash back as I was a customer of Halifax, taking it down to £189.70!! It could have been cheaper if I had paid up front but I am paying in installments. Here's hoping that next year I will have enough money saved to do that. One thing worth noting that one company raised my premium for over £50 for inquiring about claiming when in the end I decided against it. They still see this as a higher risk and consequently put your premiums up. So think before you phone!!! Thanks Martin your the man:beer: x
  • Combined home and contents for £139 with Legal and General via Gocompare ...
    £100 M&S vouchers
but as yet no £50.50 cashback via Topcashback.
Will wait three months before claiming but
I've been through the Topcashback "missing cashback" claim process before and based on that don't expect to ever hear back!

    Sorry title should read
Save over £ 230 on combined Home Insurance

Received my annual renewal summary from More Th>n (Royal Sun & Alliance) for the combined Home Insurance for the next 12 months. They quoted £391.68 for the year via installments.

After following the MSE’s advice, the best comparable quote I get was from esure via GoCompare. They quoted £159.71 using the same payment terms, a saving of £231.97.

    Now for my car insurance....
