I love following people over the years, especially considering I've been on here. DH and I will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary on 29th July! Where does the time go?
SnowyOwl - lovely to see you around again!
Pen Pen - say hello to my mum and dad if you see them at the Lincolnshire Show.
Not much OSing going on here. I've got some spag bol bubbling away, which has been bulked out with green lentils and plenty of veggies.

Dad's decided chemo is a no no for him, as it would buy him only a little extra time, with all the hassle and pain it causes:(

Evening all, well hopefully I will manage to post and not see it swallowed up! Was going to post early on Sat and took lappy up to bed friday night all ready. Anyway, Phoebe came racing over and got on the laptop so then I couldnt log in as I kept getting the number 5 up instead of the i (and not being gifted in the computer dept:o
took me ages to work out what had happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO I didn't know there was even a number lock!) By the time I had worked out what was going on it was time to hit the the road!
With regard to the Phoebe situation well who knows? Have been back to the vets again today. All that happened was Phoebe got very upset(and she is such a sweet placid little girl) the vet said she has no idea whatsoever whats wrong. Gave us yet more medication, and said(very casually you understand) that she would probably "have to open her up to have a look round and see what is going on" "or I could refer you to Liverpool if you want but it will cost you" Am so fed up. The bill for today was £74. We have spent well over £1,000 since October. This current problem is well over £600 and still Phoebe is poorly. I am getting to the point where I am rapidly losing faith with the vet(and it seems we are not alone- it is very quiet there now) I honestly don't know what to do. I think in some way the vet is "punishing " us for moving last year(and what a disaster that was) Poor Phoebe SO dosen't deserve this.
Anyway as usual far too much waffle from me. Sorry.
r mac. take care of yourself.
PenPen thank goodness you were wearing a helmet.

Evening All
Just booked the villa for my holiday to Spain in September. Just got to fill in the forms and book the flights and car now.:j
Must do my daily clicks today. I've been really bad at that lately cos the lappy's been playing up. Think I've sorted it now. Got a couple of surveys to do.
Car battery went AGAIN on Sunday so I think it really is time to get another car. It's breaking down so often now.
Just had a lovely duck dinner. Bought it ages ago in the discount section and has lived in the freezer since. Was going to make muffins, but missing a few ingredients
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
oh beth - big hugs for you and yours - what a situation - please remember to look after yourself too.
hugs too to Candygirl
Dazi - your form sounds like a typical civil service application - is that what you're applying for?
dexbroinlaw has emailed as he's worried that the airline we have booked dd(11)'s ticket with might go bust - he's a glass half empty kind of a person but still ....
multi tasking going well so far - am listening to france v italy, watching holand v romania but clicking back to france v italy to see replays of exciting things, keeping an eye on bbc sport who are kindly working out all the permutations for me and surfing MSE - phew. Am going to have a lie down and a cup of tea at half time
Hup HollandI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Thanks for the welcome mioliere. I have only just found this site in the last few days and I love it. I have picked up lots of ideas already. I love to cook and read recipes ALL the time (not necessarily a good thing as I am trying to lose weight - for a change - NOT!) so I will post some of my more successful / favourite ones for others to try, I would be interested to know what anyone who gives them a go thinks of them. Had the most lush choc/ginger pud at a friends last month and blagged the recipe from her, I'll post that tom
I only moved to Heathfield about 18 months ago, and when we arrived and saw that there was a Budgens and a Co-op, I wasn't very happy, but I've got quite fond of the Co-Op now, they're alright
bethebee OMG sounds like you are having a pretty hard time right now. I agree with stefejb, remember to look after you too. Going to the party sounds like a good plan, then when you're back, see what support you can offer your other brother. A very good friend told me to ring one of my own brothers every day when he was really low, and just tell him I was thinking of him, even when he grumped at me, still do it. So I tried it and although my brother never really talks about (always a lone wolf, even from very small) I think it must have reached him at some level. Maybe worth a try?

Evening all
Been a while since I've been on here .... it's been a busy week. OH's friend turned up on our doorstep 2 days ago needing a place to stay but has been to see his OH today and not returned so looks like they've made up ... although there's still time for him to return yet!
I'm currently baking a cake for the buffet we're having at work tomorrow and I'm making a list of stuff to make/buy/prepare for my birthday party on Friday :j
OH's (other) friend came round today and strimmed all 80ft of my back lawn so it's finally looking very tidy! Wish I could say the same for my house, need to tidy it tonight as Mother is coming straight after work tomorrow!

The cakes a disaster! The one cake I make for work instead of just to be eaten at home and it collapses  Looks like a late night trip to tesco for some mr kipling!Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0
