Hi Candygirl,
Try not to fret too much, you are doing the best you can and that's all you can do at the moment. I know what it's like to be out of work for the first time in your life - soul destroying stuff.
Anyway, back to the positives, you are dealing with your debts and CCCS are great. Have you tried the online debt remedy plan which you can do with them, that would give you an idea of what suggestions CCCS may have for you. I've found that it's mostly the "not knowing" that really gets to you but once you've gained some kind of control back, it's not so bad!
Good luck with the job hunting in the meantime.

Hey Candygirl,
I agree with Sunshine- you have done the right thing contacting CCCS- try not to worry! I would also suggest using the debt remedy as it's nice to know what you can expect or what they can suggest for you as that way you can think about it before your call to work out what's best for you

Thanks Ruthie, I feel better knowing that I am not the only one waiting.
Also thanks Dizzie, I have been trying to have a password sent to my email address for the last 3 or 4 days. Finally, this morning it recognised my ref and email so I have managed to log on.
I have realisesd that I have missed a c/card of DH with about £400 outstanding. I am going to call CCCS after work. Will they be understanding?
Also I called Child Tax Credit and told them about my new bank account to receive payments. They changed it on their records and said they would contact child benefit to have them do the same. Well.. this has not changed and about £120 went into my old account. When I went to withdraw it the machine took my card so I am £120 down for my budgeting... and over christmas too. I would advise anyone else to make both calls themselves so as not to end up short too.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 974 - Proud to be dealing with my debts

Are the people changing bank accounts because they owe money to that particualr bank? Not sure if i'll need to as my CC debts aren't with my bank"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Yes Candygirl, most of us have Overdrafts with our original banks and these have been included on our DMP so we need to change accounts. As long as you bank isn't linked to any of your debts you should be Ok.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

Hi Folks - Welcome Pack arrived today
I think the banks who I have overdrafts with are getting quite a lot - seems to be based on the figure suggested when I completed the debt remedy as I wasn't ever paying them a contractual payment. For example, my NR loan for £19,500 is getting and amount of £83. The Bank of Scotland overdraft is getting £63 on a £3000 overdraft, seems a bit unfair.
I took the advice of louietudor and asked the CCCS if we could begin the DMP on 1 January due to the car repair bill and Christmas. They were fine with this but as they have written to everyone they have said that we should pay them £85 on 1 December so they can make a £5 token payment on our behalf and send an accompanying letter. They also asked if we wanted to reduce our payments to help with the bill. We declined this as mother-in-law has offered to help pay the bill. The CCCS said this was probably best as didn't want to mess around the creditors at the start. No more credit for me - I will no longer live beyond my means :A

Hi
i spoke about a ccj - cc from barclaycard is o/h but the ccj in my name. update filled in ccj dispute and have had a reply form court today.
I acknowledge receipt fo your defence. Acopy is being served on the claimant (solicitor). The claimant may contact you direct to attempt to resolve any dispute. Ifthe dispute cannot be resolved informally, the claimant will inform the court that he wishes to proceed. The court will then inform you of what will happen.
Where he wishes to proceed, the claimantmust contact the court within 28 days after receiving a copy of your defence. After that period has elapsed the claim will be stayed. The only action the claimant can then take will be to apply to a judge for an order lifting the stay.
Q what is stay/stayed?
fINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN gave me a telephone number for barclays- barclaycard head office to make a formal complaint 0800 282 390
I have spoken with them it turns out that barclaycard had sold two account of o/h onto other parties with false information ie incorrectnames etc . So much for data protection.
Told that they would investigate and there would be no court case.
But this was a week ago and have not had anything in writting as yet.0
