Cat woman just stick to your guns as CCCS have said, creditors do send letters asking you to phone them etc, best thing to do is ignore them, they are hoping they can sway you on the phone to agree to something you would'nt otherwise. You dont have to include any details whatsoever about your OH, dont worry they are just trying to bully you.
You are well within your rights not to discuss anything over the phone and can request that people only contact you by letter.
If your dmp is up and running than that is as much as you need to do, you are doing your best.
Only a couple of my creditors have accepted my dmp so far but it doesnt really matter if they do or not there is'nt any more money for them whether or not.
If you want to write to them just reiterate you are addressing the problem via the dmp with the help of the CCCS.

AAARRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH Have lost some of my CCCS paperwork. Please help! When I send off the CCCS letter to my creditors telling them about the DMP should I send a copy of the SOA CCCS created?
Thanks

Hi Sarriep, no you don't need to send a copy of the SOA, just the standard letter about the DMP. Some people also include a £1 postal order as a token payment - this is optional, I did mine via online banking (it's cheaper!:D )

There is a thread here of my woes here - ha ha.

hiya
not dealt with them but had a quick look, at your thread understand the shock you had, but remember you have had fab advice from ras, re sars and cca, etc
also the charging orders ive signed a petition will put but the link in a bit for you to view as the threats could become a reality and our houses could get branded with charging orders for unsecured debts, ive already seen my mp about it with a good letter outlining my concerns
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1172777
all newbies take a look too and for the regulars pls take a look and sign if you havent done so far, ta this will affect us if we dont put up a fight and show our concerns, well that s my view anyway, ciao mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

So we shall see, tbh the o/d is worrying me the most, cos I just don't see how it's going to work on a dmp?
xx
hiya both welcome,
ive not been around for about a week and ive had about 20 pages to read, its been busy but thats good its a good thread we all try and help each other
im doing my own dmp and your posts are what cccs had said initially to me at the beg of the year, so ive gone alone and trying to keep up with it all by giving all a pro rata payment payment but then hoping i could pay off the smaller one eventually quickly by doing what you have tweaking for extra funds out of our monthly budget so to speak
the other thing im doing is i have requested my credit agreements from my creditors with the 1.00 payment, its been interesting so far, some are application forms and some without terms, so im looking at the legal aspect now , if the dont have a legal cca to enforse court action, it gives us a chance to make full and final offers after obtaining our credit card charges back etc then making an offer especially if sold to a dca, they will not have paid much for it in the first place, ive hardened now after 8 months of living in fear, of the threats on the phone, of them sending me stupid postcards, im now looking at dealing with them in a more professional way, im using the law and the consumer rights we do have within the law to deal with my debts legally , its been a hard lesson to learn that not everyone really wants to help you when they say they do , so ive stopped talking to them and insist by sending letters to them for me to reply to them in writing.
anyway good luck and shout if i can be of any other assistance
take care ciao maz:beer:Sealed Pot Challenge member 1525

Had my first snotty phonecall yesterday, from HFC Bank (I did owe them £145, prob up to 200 quid now). DMP is currently giving them £1, which he said was next to useless to them, to which I asked for a refund, and he said sure, and he'd speak to his manager! I just found the conversation very negative, and found myself getting wound up. None of the other creditors have been like that.
hiya ianmak
im sorry but this is what they do on the phone, iwould actully put in a compaint that will start a paper trail for you, just incase it should go to court - you are seen as being reasonable in your circumstances and they are being just sarcastic!
ive become very hardened to this now after 8 months of threats and answering out of this country call centre idiots who dont understand me or can relate to my situation so all in writing now and am recording any calls made as harrasment logged.
stick to you guns keep paying your offer but thats my advice for whats it worth

Morning! It feels like its was ages since I was last in this thread will try to catch up.
Had a really hectic first week at work last week. On my first day we got a call to say OFSTED would be in Thursday and Friday. Then I broke a tooth Thursday and yesterday I discovered it would cost £500 so my head is swimming.
Oh and somewhere inbetween was without a computer due to a trojan and it had to be rebuilt so lost all my helpful links etc - have to do more research again!
hello Rayday
im sorry to hear of your bad luck,,,, and the things that have gone wrong for you - i hope i win the lotto so i can help, honest, you have been fab on here to everyone, you deserve soom good luck
anyway ive not been around for about a week and it was like about 20 pages i had to catch up on , been great, though lots of newbies, so great welcome to them all
also helllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooo to the regulars, you know who you all are, stop hiding and blushing,...lol
me im learning all lots of legal stuff and wow even had a sars delievered to me and wow what stuff is on there,,,,i think they do get info from the creditfiles regarding your other debts and what you owe your mortgage company cos no way i gave this particular creditor the amount i owe on my mortgage - also the comments recorded are a littel tight to defamation of my character - well okay i was irate when they called me,,,,,lol
there are also assumptions, oh well another battle looms i can always go back to that later after the debts are cleared
anyway u and the family and work okay ?
catch up soon hope you sort all out take care u see the time i have been totally embroiled in this site i hadnt noticed time
off to bed ciao for now MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

I spoke to someone before (a company that charge the earth) and they made it sounds nice but when tey tell you to stop paying your bill and let the red letters come though it scares the living daylights outta me.
At the mo we have never not been able to pay a bill but left with pittence by the end of the month. our main bank is natwest (also a loan) and also lol fighting a PPI reclaim with them over a loan we paid off last year. so i know we'd have to open an account else where but i have heard that natwest are not very nice during the DMP.
reading what you all have been saying is reasureing and i know it's gunan take time but hey our loan we started last year is for another 7years so we know were in it for the long haul.
oh forgot to mention that our debts are about £24,000. i know there are many other that are worse off and i really feel for everyone in the same boat.
Thanx guys Kelly
hiya
couldnt ignore your post before i retired to bed its late even for me lol
anyway do not go to one of these companies that charge the earth, pls go to one of the charities for help with your debts,,,ie cccs, nationaldebtline have a fab site too
others on here use different ones, but they are free to help you okay
i do my own but that me being a bit of a legal freak. and nosey in fact its helped me no end with my confidence after 8 months of hassle, i can take on anyone,,,,well almost,,but you get my idea
but that is not for everyone so look at the charities and let them take the strain,
what other advice can i say is your lifestyle will have to change, ive not used any of my credit card s for nearly a year now, and yes its scary when you get to the last bits of cash you have left until next pay day but ive amended my attitude to money now,,, i cant wait to pay off the bills and try and save on stuff, its totally an addiction now for me
so ask all the questions and take control and let us know how you get on and stick with us we will help as best as we can
good night
will be back tomorrow and over the weekend
