Hi numpty,
Sent my postal orders off yesterday, I wrote who they were payable to after the 3 x's and then crossed them (if not already crossed), had a big shock when I found out that they charge 46p for EACH £1.00 postal order.
On a different point now, I like doing surveys and have been with Pinecone for a long time, I have just received an email asking if I know of any households that would like to join, (they pay £4.00 for each survey) I have to forward the email to the interested person's email account as there is a referal link. I don't get anything for refering and it doesn't say how many can be refered. If anyone is interested please pm me with your email address and I will forward it to you, for you to read. They pay into a Paypal account now where it used to be a book of luncheon vouchers.
PS I know there are 2 r's in referred/ing but was too lazy to go back over.

noob to the forum the forum he so would like to say Hi to all!!
don't know where to start...
well i have 24k debt and am currently on my way to doing a dmp with cccs :j (£222 Per month). but im there are a few things i need advice on...
1)when completing my Dmp it requested that i cant be in arrears with certain things e.g. rent. Now i pay child support which was reduced to £5 pounds from £135 when i was signing on - have since found a new job and was told that it would increase and that they would sort it out. So as my current wage is slightly less than my old job i put in a ruff figure (£120) as to what they will take. But after 3 months of calls they still havent sorted it out. Am i right for putting a ruff figure or should i wait till its sorted?
2)i have a car which im looking to sell and buy a cheaper runaround which if goes to plan will give me an extra £1000. i was thinking as using this as a buffer and leaving it in a savings account for any unexpected expense as i have no savings -good idea? or should i forward some of it to cccs when my Dmp is up and running?
3)does your interest get frozen using a Dmp at my debt range or will i have to pay more after the 6 year period noted by cccs to complete dmp? they gave me the option of both a dmp and iva
any advice is muchly appreciated0 -
Hi,infamousdb wrote: »1) Am i right for putting a ruff figure or should i wait till its sorted?
A best guess is Ok. When you get the correct figure you will need to call CCCS for a review and they will ammend the amount for you.infamousdb wrote: »should i forward some of it to cccs when my Dmp is up and running?
This is completely up to you. I would rather forward it on to CCCS for them to distribute to my creditors and get the debt down but I understand that you would want to keep some for emergency. As long as you can trust yourself to leave the money alone.;)infamousdb'12078237 wrote:does your interest get frozen using a Dmp
This is completely up to your creditors. They may chose to freeze the interest from the start, not at all, freeze it for a while then start again or even pass the debt to a DCA. It's pot luck really. The same creditor may even act differently to different customers. You never really now.
Anyway, good luck and I'm sure you'll be feeling a lot better about your debts soon.

Yeah that's standard for postal orders but it's worth it to keep the payments legitNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

can anyone beat this - all my cards loans etc were up to date when i called cccs in May to start a DMP and then sent letters and token payments to my 13 creditors first week in June and am due to make first cccs payment Tuesday
anyway had my first creditor agree to the plan today - M&S Money - this was due to be paid 19.6.8 but like i said i had sent the token payment begining of June - anyway in the letter it said they agree to the plan and will not charge interest blah blah - BUT - as the amount to paid each month is less that 1% of the debt they are issuing me with a default immediately !!!!
now i think that's a bit strong as like i say as of today the minimum due is only 9 days out of time!!!
i know on the plus side the sooner its there the sooner it will clear but i wasn't expecting any for at least 3 months
i think the reason maybe that i told them about about my illness - i did um and aaah whether to tell them but as its the main reason i can no longer afford the repayments ( symptoms and treatments mean i can no longer work the hours or at the pace i used to) i thought it best to be honest - perhaps they think im going to kick it so they are defauilting me so the debt can be sold on before that happens??
anyones opinons woudl be gratefully received -0 -
I wouldn't worry about defaults the quicker you get them the better they stay on your credit file so the earlier they are on the quicker they fall off. The reason they are probably saying you will get one is because you have written to them saying you are going to break the terms of the credit agreement so you will be in default of that credit agreement.
Usually once you get a default companies agree to plans, or freeze interest and accept payments or sell them on so its a good sign in a way.0 -

thanks rayday im sure your right about me writing to them to tell them i was going to break the agreement was the main reason for the default - and like i said they are freezing interest etc so that has to be the main plus
in retrospect i hope all my creditors treat me the same - but as 3 debts are with lloyds i doubt it very much!!0 -
