all this on the day I have my payplan meeting.. im starting to get really worried again now

Sorry Mr Woody - take no notice of my "low point".

This is the other thread that I popped over to view:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1172777

Having your Payplan meeting is the best thing you can do. All you can do is deal with the "here and now". Please dont worry about what is going on elsewhere for the time being.

Let us know how you get on - at least we are all here to support each other (through the good and bad days) and whatever "powers" creditors may get in the future ... we'll always have People Power on here ;)

I had my telephone meeting today, have been advised to stop all payments to creditors and send over token payments in the meantime. The DMP will be up and running next month for me to send over my first payment. Then I guess its a waiting game to see what happens!.
  • Just to add a plus side a little bird has told me they may also be introduceing legal protection for DMP type arangements, havnt found anything to confirm this yet, and it may not come in until after this which would be too late.

Its not all doom and gloom but does add a leval of uncertanty that im sure no one needs right know.

The best bet right know is to try get enough support to get this put on hold or some safeguards added before it becomes law

Alls not lost so to speak, but it will be too late to "wait and see"
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
  • Now you mention it, I vaguely recall reading something about that too. I cant think where I read about it though.

Ahhh well, I guess what will be will be eh?!

I got the sort code off their website. Log in and go to the "your plan" section, if you bring up the standing order mandate the sort code is on there. When you make the payment make sure your cccs reference number is attached to the payment so that they can allocate it to your account. It's probably worth following it up with an email to make sure they have received the payment. Remember online banking isn't always immediate so up to you whether you want to do that or just go to the post office (remember costs £2.60 at post office).

Thanks Jvic.... this is weird...I found the SO mandate but the account no. is completely different from the one on my transcash slip, so I'm not sure it's the same bank! Have emailed cccs to ask for the code, hope they reply before Friday!:D:eek: Determined to save that £2.60 :D

    thanks anyway though!

We had our first default notice today and have had a few late payment letters. Only MBNA have acknowledged our situation so far. Have told HFC (Marbles) on the phone (twice) but keep getting letters (and more calls) from them. They seem desperate to get more work/ home contact details but I said I'd rather not be contacted by phone and would appreciate it if they wrote to us instead. Want to say "Unless one of my relatives dies and leaves us some money we've no more to pay." Do you think that will shut them up? I suspect not.
    Sx

hfc are a nightmare. they are always phoning my husband at work, sometimes several days in a row. :( so glad we haven't got a landline anymore!

    Hi all,

I am just after a bit of advice really I am currently looking at going on a DMP with CCCS, I am not able to do it at the moment as currently waiting to start a new job and as such have no income to include yet.. I am due to start at Uni and will be getting a NHS bursary/maintenance grant - will these needed to be included as income or are they excluded?

    Many thanks

there's no reason you can't still contact cccs and go through the budget planner, in preperation for when you do have an income - my neighbour signed up with cccs - she's on incapacity and doesn't make any payments to a dmp, but it is still useful for her to be able to say 'I'm with cccs, here's my client no.' ;)

Thats Strange. I used the account number and sort code off the standing order and didn't realise it was different on the trans cash thing. My reference number didn't get attached to my payment though so it got lost for 2 weeks, they had the money but didn't know it was mine so may be best to go to the post office anyway. I just didn't want to spend the £2.60.
