Anyone know if you do manage to save any extra money each month into a savings account - do cccs negotiate Full & Final Settlements so you can reduce the debt even quicker, as I sometimes get overtime which I would want to pay off a single debt rather then a pro-rata payment, as I have 18 creditors and to reduce the number of creditors would be a good feeling too it is more obvious that you debt is going down I think. Anyone who has similar circumstances please let me know if its possible - and if I am the only one who feels this way too - about reducing number of creditors as well as the overall debt.

http://www.payplan.com/debt-library/miscellaneous.php this link has the families of banks, but is slightly out of date A&L are probably being bought by Abbey and GE Money behind most store cards will also be part of that group.
The FSA website has a list of "basic" bank accounts

    http://www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk/pdfs/bank_accounts.pdf

and Payplan has a list of who is linked to who

    http://www.payplan.com/debt-library/linked-banks-and-creditors.php

    Hope this helps

Thanks very much for that, answers all my questions, and means I can go for the bank account I wanted!

    Cheers,

    hiya all

hope your day went well, im just back from picking up dd from her first day at college, and she is so enthusiastic that im glad gone well for her, scary first day over and done with,

Now, thanks Rayday2 ref the added newbies - i had intended to look for all the names for you and list them easily for you but looks like you have already done your bit for them and given out your numbers, and sorry to hear of your poorly household, hope you all get to feel well soon weekend here very soon relax and chill

symesd - your question is also mine been on the backburner for a while as i wish to know too if anyone has managed to do full and final offers yet.
i do know that the national debtiline told me that if i offered something like this would have to really offer a proportion to all my creditors to be fair to all.

im doing my own dmp like rayday2 and others here, sorry cant remember top of my head all the other helpful people on here,

Perhaps, we could have the list added with Own DMP or who is with either CCCS or PAYPLAN or others? against each member with this info, thus any questions to any particular ie cccs etc or who does their own dmp, can help from personal experience. I think im going to cause more work for Rayday though, sorry for my suggestion, but i will be happy to add this extra info if you like Rayday.

I actually would print off the list and then it would save me time to keep looking back when ive been away a few days to try and answer personally anyones particular question, i find it hard to remember who asked what when i come to type it up, sorry , my memory like a sieve lately lol

anyway ive waffled - but yes to the full and final - love to know too,

see you all laters ciao for now MAZ

  • Just wanted to say a big 'hi' to everyone on here even though I haven't been around much too busy with work and other stuff I have still tried to keep up with you all. My god you lot chat loads!! Last time I was on it was page 93 or something like that :p

All been pretty quiet so far and have managed to save a grand total of dun dun der..... £70!! :T Ok so it's not thousands but hey it's all mine and we all got to start somewhere with savings. I must admit I am actually quite rubbish at trying to save since starting a DMP I think I am more richer than I am and have gone a bit mad. It's a nice feeling as someone already mentioned to pay cash and not feel so worried afterwards you are x amounts of pounds over on your overdraft anymore.

I went to the shops today to put 25 lucky dips on the Euro lottery for our syndicate at work. If I win the biggy I promise I will get all 230 of you together for a meet up and take you all out for an all expenses paid slap up meal..........somewhere real posh like at a McDonalds with a play area :rotfl:

Chin up guys and please stop worrying about debt free dates, baby steps and small payments at a time is the key. Your health and family is far more important. Take care all of you and keep posting with your updates, we all keep each other going. xxxxxx

I don't mind updating with details of who is with which company if thats what people want. I was waiting for the day that people graduated to debt free, that would be some cool updating!
