Hi
Jvic
Thanks for replies. Have already posted several revised SOA's recently (on this thread last week).
I have roughly £10,000 debt iver 9 creditors. I am already claiming all I am entiled to.

Well even with hubbys help (Tax Credits - you already know my / our situation ?) I have £120 a month to feed me, hubby and 2 dogs. So as for being a candidate I tend to agree even though I am a little bisased perhaps I dont have public transport, haircuts, clothes, shoes and forget holidays or any 'luxuries' like that  (ok so we do have other luxuries like Sky and Broadband).
Reguarding the PPI cover, my circumstances have changes since taking out the cover but I am also aware I was mis-sold the cover and know (asa I checked) I am not able to claim on it. But I will be re-claiming it.
The homephone does ring quite a lot and it always is 'them' it goes to answerphone but if they hang up and dont leave me a message how do I know if who called or what they wanted:rolleyes:
:rotfl:
Many thanks0 -
GH - if you don't ask, you don't get - write with the SOA and ask whether they will consider writing debts off (use the NDL template) - you never know what they might say. The worst they can say is no, then just give them the £1 and say that's all you have and it will take X number of years to pay off.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Hi Newlywed
Like your way of thinking usually my way.
Ok so do I send off the request to wipe off the debts (plus SOA) allong with my DMP proposal or do I keep them separate?
If I sent off the request first wont this put me in more trouble as they will create saying I still havent responded with a DMP proposal?
Almost ready to post this off today :T Then will start on the reclaims :rotfl:
Just had post, I am  amazed to see I have received a cheque book for new bank account, still waiting for cash card though.
Is it wize for me to pay any £1 token payments with these cheques (would make life easier) or dont let on I have another account (not a problem to pay another way just a bit of hassle)?
Many thanks0 -
GH - for my DMP i sent off token payment cheques from my new account. If your new account is definitely not related to any other debts then they can't touch it anyway - it's not a crime to have a cheque book or to change banks
As for the rest - does NDL suggest when to send that writing off debts letter? Does it say to wait until a couple of months into token payments? Can't quite remember it at the moment... sorry.
If it doesn't suggest anything then I would send off your DMP proposal, your SOA and also the request to write off debts due to circumstances.
If they say no, I would still give them the £1 tokens each month and then after a few months, write again saying circumstances not changed - please would you write it offCan but ask

Hiya,
What are the chances of claiming back interest on 2 of my creditors???
2 of my loans, Citi finance and Welcome Finance, have both whacked on the interest for the full time of the agreement, So in other words but debt has risen by like £6k...!!!.....None of my other creditors have done this, im so p***ed off...!!!
I have read that people have managed to claim back charges, late fees etc, what about interest tho???
Anyone?????????????????????????????????

Not really sure pinksparkle. I would say no to that one but someone else might know better. I suppose they are within their rights as this is what you would owe them in total.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

Hi all, just found this thread after posting elsewhere. I've managed to accumulate 36k of debt (No idea how...) and have spent last 6 months making cutbacks (Travel, gym memberships, mobile bil etc). Just had a response from Payplan after I got in touch with them through work.
So hopefully that's the start of my recovery. Just got a new bank account to change to now. PP suggested making token goodwill payments to my creditors until the DMP is setup, however, does it make a difference if my loan payment has already been made this month. Would other banks see that as preferential treatment?DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Hi, I had a loan with Citi and before I defaulted they added all interest which took the loan from 8k to 14k.
Anyway once the default had been issued and CCCS contacted them with a DMP plan the amount reverted back to the original amount. I even called them to clarify what i actually owed and confirmed it was the 8k
Hope this helpsDmp Mutual Support thread member No 820 -
My mint loan had all the interest listed in the agreement to start with so the total sum actually loaned included interest and stupid PPI. So when I defaulted, it stayed the same, as the full amount owed already included all the interestworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Hi folks. Hope you all had a good weekend?
Hubby received a default from Nat West re: his overdraft and Nat West AKA Snatch West, charged him £30 for the priviledge!
I thought it was quite a good deal actually, 30 quid (typed with a certain amount of sarcasm) ... I mean, what else does £30 get you these days?*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0
