Hi all! Not been on for a while as things appeared to be going swimmingly but just had a call from First Credit which wasn't particulary nice. Told them I will only communicate in writing with them in future so no point in discussing anything further.............Anyone had any dealings? I was told it was recorded - hope it was then the caller should get a b******ing! Where would I be without this board?0

Thanks ginger. I'm being overly pessimistic really as that reduced payment should hopefully only be a short term measure until I'm earning again. Before I lost my job, our DMP payment was £1,497 and it would have run for 7 years which I was quite happy with. All creditors had acccepted as well, (apart from N Rock but that's a whole other story! ) so it's a real pain that we have had to reduce pyments but CCCs will explain our current situation so hopefully they will bear with us for a few months. As you can calculate, we have a mamouth debt:o , but I did ask the lady at CCCS if it was the worst she had seen and she said "Oh no, I've seen much worse!". I suppose it always makes you feel better to know that you are not in the worst possible place, even tho you might feel like it most of the time.
Loopy I hope things go better for you than you expect. I think the way mine goes I will be here longer than Martin Lewis :rotfl: , but that is assuming the children stay frozen and are never able to look after themselves or reach an age where they leave home etc etc
I honestly don't relate to anyone about DFD, its so far out my head I am just grateful that every month we get by, we have enough for food and little treats and the odd long weekend away.
Such a simple boring soul I am :rotfl:0 -

I had not heard of a UTS but have a feeling in a few years time I could be using the UTD one :T . Actually I do her an injustice at 12 years old she is a lovely girl, I look at her friends in horror and wait for the day she joins in but until then I will put my UTD on hold!0 -

UTD is on the autistic spectrum and is herself - can sleep for England and showers twice a year whether she needs it or not (and then only after a long argument).0 -
Just an update egg sent me a letter today telling me I will be defaulted on 27th August unless i give them some money. well i've made my first payment to CCCS so thats all they'll be getting so i think it will be passed on to a DCA and i'll deal with them. I can't give them anymore money I set my budget and i'm sticking to it there is no extra money I can give them so they can take whatever action they want the end product is still the same whether I get taken to court or not I have no equity in my home so there is no point selling it, and why do they only send letters so you get them on a friday. Its like they try to ruin your weekend well not with me i'm dealing with my problems, so I can walk around with my head held high. I might even have a few beers tonight Cheers0

Hi everyone and a warm welcome to newbies,:hello:
Haven't been around much because I'm trying to do all the things I should have been doing when I was sat worrying about my debt! Out of my 20 creditors only 6 have been in touch, 5 accepted my dmp and 1 was passed straight to dca. I get quite frustrated not hearing from them but I suppose no news is good news.
I've got a job interview on Tuesday, hopefully it will be something I can do around my kids (youngest starts morning nursery in September) It would be lovely to get it and use the extra money to pay my debts off earlier.
Have a good weekend xxDMP mutual support number 199Debt free in [strike]2025[/strike] 2018 (hopefully a lot sooner!):j Smokefree since 10pm 2/7/08 :jBaby no.3 due 29/04/20110 -
hiya all and welcome to all newbies,
have read through the latest few days posts and learnt stuff along the way still - always learning, lol
anyway mine on my own dmp appear to be going along nicely, but have put the wind up mbna because im being brave asking for copies of my credit card agreements, as well as charges refunds,
so thats my aim for the next week, tackle all my creditors for copies of the cca, as im learning about unefforceable in court if they dont provide the correct legal paperwork. so its negotiating tactic when i can get some more money once i start work again and offer full and final settlement with satisfied against the credit file entry.
will update you all once ive got that going,
anyway all enjoy the weekend and hope you are all well and all i can say to the newbies its a bit of a learning curve but we are all here to offer a friendly ear to listen to your problems and give our comments to help you out
ciao for now MAZSealed Pot Challenge member 1525
