have a look in ebuyer there is a Garmin nuvi 255 Sat Nav UK & EU for £68.99 its had quite good write ups in amazon customer reviews and they are updateable,also it covers europe.
my son in law has one and he's pleased with it.

have you had a chance to see the sat nav in detail ? does it give turn by turn spoken instructions ?! I am looking for a sat nav for my daughter and this seems ideal..and a bargain to boot ! i cannot find any reviews for f300 are they rebranded F35 or F45 navmans for Asda ?
My other shortlisted was Garmain Nuvi 205. any comments/ advice greatfully rerceived

The refurb deals on the TomTom outlet site look great but be warned - they may not have up to date maps and are not covered by the latest map guarantee. By the time you add the cost of upgrading the map they're not much cheaper than shop prices. I found this out the hard way .

Wish you guys told me about this befor i purchased this one navman f300 be aware it doesnt come with latest map gaurentee or one down free download of latest maps so comes out of date as soon as you buy. To update the maps you have to pay after you purchase £29.95 then £14.99 for the connectivity kit to update via pc. so price hikes up by £45 befor you even start £52 doesn't seem such a bargain now I learned the hard way. You can get a tom tom start for £99 with the latest map guarantee. Contacted company nothing they can do

Would someone please advise on Sat Nav for France and UK and using Tesco vouchers double-up? I'm toying with the idea[leaving near midnight tonight via Tunnel]. I have £100 available.[CC+ holder, so will gain extra points]

I like using maps, also use routefinder print-outs if necessary.

Is a cheap Tesco Satnav worthwhile?

My Tom Tom has been stolen (kids playing with it in car and left car open on drive - I am devastated):(
It connected to Galaxy android phone which I need to be able to talk and drive.
I like the big wide touch screen.
Only use UK.
I had got used to this one - didnt have to think when using it.
Havent really got time to investigate lots of models as need to send off for new one urgently.
(Did not have to pay for any monthly updates or anything just get an update when needed)
Any recommendations for a replacement thats a bargain with the same features.
Any help much appreciated.
