Oh Chev, it really has been all going on with you since I've been AWOL hasn't it. I'm so sorry to hear your news, and will be sending positive thoughts that he starts showing a real and sustained improvement very soon.

I would suggest that the house-move might be just the distraction you need right now - as much as you feel you should be thinking about your Dad most of the time, that won't do either you or him any good, so to have something to focus your energy and attention on might just be the best thing. I'll cross my fingers that it's alright for you.

Hi guys, thanks for the good wishes.

Sadly my dad didn't make it and passed away at 5.30pm yesterday uk time. I feel a bit numb to be honest. Like what the heck can I do from here. My step mum has to find my dad's birth certificate so that they can issue the death certificate, and she can't find it..... Poor love. At least my brother and sister are around to be with her.....And the cheap ticket was a con. Unless you do it for very particular dates then the price is the same as everyone elses gits.

I'm so sorry to hear your news about your dad, Chev, you must feel so isolated.... but I'm glad us online folks can be of help to you, even if its only a tiny amount.

You did the right thing in flying back to see him - you knew it at the time, of course, and this loss absolutely confirms it.

    Thinking of you.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad, Chev. It must be heart-wrenchingly painful for you. You were so right to go to the UK to see him when you did, and you were so right to go back to NZ to your family when you did. But being right doesn't lessen the pain. There is lots of love and virtual support coming to you from this side of the world, but do you have any real person you could see for a cuppa and a little tlc? Or even someone to phone to have a good natter about it all? Love to you.
