Yes I have put them up here, because I read about them in the international papers I get over here, and then you never see them over here! We have just had two of the 3 book chains over here put into administration. It doesn't surprise me at all. The books are SO expensive over here. Take for example my beloved Star Trek books! They are £5.99 in the UK, and certainly the new releases are available everywhere pretty much. Over here the same book is $24.99. so that is about the equivalent of £12.50! Even allowing for shipping them from the publishers someone somewhere is making a huge profit. And even home grown talent has trouble getting their books stocked too! I have to say that the last 2 books I bought (oops not meant to be buying books but there you go), I got from the book depository for £3.79 I think delivered......It really surprises me that businesses over here are only just getting their heads around having websites, that actually SELL anything. They most still only use them to advertise their promotions and to tell you where their physical stores are........

That is surprising - I know we hear about NZ being behind the times in a good way, but I'd have thought they'd have caught on to websites quickly. Mind you, I have a current account in France, and when the bank sent me emails, I used not to be able to press the reply button to answer them - it sort of slid off into the ether if I did that - I can do it now, they've fixed it, but it took *ages*.

No very behind here. There is a large minority of the country, that still don't have broadband yet! LOL about the french bank. Surely you only wanted to be told something, you didn't want to actually DISCUSS it did you!

Wow - scary times with you Chev - so glad to hear that you and yours are all OK, and apologies for not catching up sooner.

    ROFL @ KC's bank emails - brilliant!

Yours list for the week looks challenging Chev - puts me to shame for sure! :o I can identify with your washing thing - I seem to have got behind with it somewhere along the line, but not sure why - might be that a load of bedding and a load of towels took up two nights when "normal" stuff would usually have gone through. Oh Well!
