I agree about the articles and calcium intake, it is bloomin hard to know where to get the correct advice on these things.

Just checking in too Chev, glad you're out of the current danger area - hope your friend is ok too. On the BBC news this morning, weirdly, the only person they were talking to in Christchurch itself was a 15 year old schoolgirl, very strange - she was very articulate actually, but I did wonder about not being able to get hold of an adult. Devastating loss of life there.....

EDIT - also interested in what you're checking out about arthritis - I'll subscribe, I'm *so* bad at checking for people's diaries ...

The thing is that this time the earthquake has been far more traumatic for people. On another forum someone was saying how there 14 year old child was on the 3rd floor of their school and watched the building next door collapse. Then when she got outside she saw dead bodies in the street. People were already struggling to try and cope with the aftermath of the September earthquake

(for example people were finding that the earthquake commission weren't going to pay for remedial work, and there was about to be a serious storm of protest about it, plus people who had been in temporary accom paid for by insurance, were about to have problems as the payments were about to end, but their houses were fixed yet. If anyone wants work as pipe layers there was already a national shortage of them before this earth quake).

Now her daughter is a complete hysterical wreck. My heart goes out to all people dealing with this. They are saying on the radio that there are already people saying that this is enough and they will leave the city. Such a terrible terrible trajedy.
