    Hi Chev

Happy New Year to you. The job sounds really interesting and sounds like it would fit it nicely with the kids.

Let us know if you decide to go for it!

Well I decided to go for the job. There are some bits of it that might be a bit  at first like minute taking. I always worry that I will miss something important....

The system is automated which is interesting, so you get alot of the pro forma questions out of the way up front. We will see what happens.

Sorry to have been misssing in action a bit. Having relatives here can be a bit trying. Can't do lists when people want to go off for random wanderings, 'just to get out of the house' SIGH. Sorry I do like her being here, but it can be hard work being an only child sometimes.

We are now off to South Island with https://www.goodcleanfunnz.com for 10 days. Out itinery takes us down the west coast of south island and across just above queenstown and then back up to christchurch!

To be honest I am bricking it a bit. First off I am the least fit out of the group. My mum does hill walking every sunday at home (she is in her 70's) all year round:eek::eek:. It is camping. In a tent. I have never done this for so long before. Yes we have a guide, who is doing the cooking, driving and guiding of us, and yes the places will have showers but even still, I am worried about the weather.

As you may have seen Queensland is getting dumped on from a great height at the moment. We tend to get the tails of their weather about a week later....., so I am just praying it rains itself out over the Tasman!

I am also worried about the boys not enjoying themselves if they are wet and cold all the time. My OH doesn't feel the cold and is pooh poohing all this, and lets not bother about taking warm clothes and stuff. Well hello the temp some nights in the last week has been 9degrees, which is not very warm without walls. And that is without wind chill.

Oh stuff I am sure we will be fine. Keep Calm and Carry On and all that. Just trying not to pack everything 'just in case'......

After al the worrying about it I bet you will be surprised how much you enjoy it! I spent years refusing to go camping because I thought I'd hate it (bad experience involving weather, leaky tents, and soaked belongings when camping with the school aged about 11) but having finally taken the plunge and given it a go a couple of years ago I now absolutely love it - we're planning a five day trip to Cornwall for later in the year now and I can hardly wait!

    Have a fab time!
