Well I made it to my interview. Despite both kids pulling the I'm too tired for school, I have a poorly tummy routine (just 'cos my mum comes today:rolleyes: ). Kind of had to lift DD1 into school give her hand to teacher and left - I am not mean really I know she will be fine as soon as she is in class (she throws these wobbles every now and then), the putting her in and walking away works must better than me trying to coax her round - kids, strange little things:mad:
.
Not sure how interview went. The task they gave me was ok and took like 5 mins (not the 15 they had alloted), interview, well lets just say they are not my strong point. But I was me so if they dont like me they can sod off;) . The 20 hours they advertised is across 5 days and may include "flexibility" to work into early evening etc (no wonder they dont list it on the advert:rolleyes: ).
Best bit about today I have lost another 2lbs:j , so made my first target with 1lb to spare. Problem now is my suit is a bit loose and I had a bit of a baggy bum:rotfl: . So will update sig to include next challenge which will be working on the 2nd stone I have to loose.
Right todays list
Hoover through
Change our bedding for mum
S & S bathroom
S & S kitchen
S & S lounge
Baby wipe the leather sofas
Collect DD2 from lunchclub
Hide bag of things I dont want mum to find;) :rotfl:
Make up some excuse for DD1 to leave school at 2.30
Prep tea stuff
Collect Mum from Ely Train station
Pop into Mr T (best make a list)
Right HHC me thinks......someone put the kettle on:D
ETA - Vanilla, I would get a dishwasher. Think your mum is thinking of the ones that came out years ago. I have never had one. As my kitchen here is a cupboard nowhere for it to go but the next time we move I ain't going in if there isnt one (or the space for one)0 -
Just having a cuppa after spending time tidying up DDs room - it didn't look bad to start with but I found dirty washing, jenga bricks and various other bits "hidden" (but probably not intentionally, DD is too tidy for that :rotfl: ) behind the basket of cuddly toys. Then I attacked the desk  It now shuts which is progress. Meanwhile I also managed to have a text conversation with a friend :rotfl::rotfl: Next job - airing cupboard as I'm pretty sure my size 22 painting jeans are of no use to me anymore now I'm in an 18 and still shrinking
Oh hell, half a rainforest has just come through the door  Oooo Halifax card 15months 0% offer on BT:D
No....Airing cupboard NOW!!!! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
LOL.. nikci I just had the other half through my door.. and I kept 2 A4 sheets of paper and recycled the rest!!
I have done half of DS1's teeny tiny room and vacuumed up the broken glass or it wouldn't have got done.. off to collect Tiddles now!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Morning - but only just, can't believe its nearly 12
Kids dropped at school then I went for a walk around the country park. Got home and spent an hour trying to connect to the internet. Did a bit of ironing and had a shower. Spent the rest of the morning catching up on here.
Got a headache now so going to relax for a couple of hours.
Have a good one0 -
Pigpen - go get Tiddles...

Morning all,
glad nobody has any disasters to report yet today (Vanilla have the cops shown up?)
Invigilating done and as it was our school's last Y11 exam lots of packing up to be done so another hour's pay.
Too much of a rush this morning to get my dalies done as DS1 had left a bottle of lemonade in the fridge on its side with the cap on loose so a pool of lemonade on everything. Hoiked him out of bed at 7:20 and instructed him on how to clean the whole load up. Fortunately towels were on the floor waiting to go in the WM so he could use those to mop the worst up first - toad!
Going to get my dalies done now and then decide whether I go to Tesco on do my flying. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Wanted to ask for abit of advice, with us getting the kitchen done this year i have alway's wanted a dishwasher. My mum thinks i'm mad because the washing tablets cost to much, the machine will smell, cost of electric and in her words they break down alot. Now my mum doesn't have a dishwasher and never has this is just what she's heard. What is your experience with them, godsend or nightmare????
Definately get one! Like SSL said i think, it is actually more economical to use DW than handwash. I actually use Mr T value DW tablets, they are fab, they even got a good write up in Which:DThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
