    Morning all

Only one load of washing today, it's dry so far so it's out on the line.

I've made cottage pie for dinner and baked a currant cake, a victoria sandwich and some chocolate fairy cakes. Everything washed up and put away and I feel tired now!

Oh and I vacuumed through downstairs after I'd finished baking.

    Quiet here today?

Wanted to ask for abit of advice, with us getting the kitchen done this year i have alway's wanted a dishwasher. My mum thinks i'm mad because the washing tablets cost to much, the machine will smell, cost of electric and in her words they break down alot. Now my mum doesn't have a dishwasher and never has this is just what she's heard. What is your experience with them, godsend or nightmare????

    She is talking tosh..

I've had a DW for 11 years.. actually I've had 3 in that time.

the first was £50 and lasted ages.. never had a problem
The second was a hotpoint one.. pile of $h!te.. wouldn't have one given!!
I've got a bosch one now which is fabulous.. highly recommended.

I use fairy tablets in mine.. they are often on offer so I stock up.

Oh.. and thr only time mine smells is when I've not cleaned out the filters for weeks which now I am on here.. doesn't happen!! I also get some cleaning stuff from the engineer it is 10 sachets for £15 and that lasts me a year.. and i use my DW at LEAST 2-3 times a DAY.. hardly breaking the bank!

Godsend, definately! During the week when its just me and DD, I hand wash. At the weekend when BF is here, he uses every dish/mug/glass in the house and the DW is great. I break the DW tablets in 2, and it works fine. I'm sure I read somewhere that it costs less to run a DW than to handwash. Thats definately the case in my house, as I rinse the dishes when I handwash. I've inheritated my aunt's DW. The only reason I got it was that she got a new kitchen with built in appliances. I think it must be about 15 years old? I clean the filters every week as per our Kitchen list. I dont know how I'll cope when I move :o

vanilla definitely a godsend, I got one given a couple of years ago (OH got it from a customer whos kitchen he was fitting) it's a Bosch one and it's fabulous, I'd rather go without a washing machine (I already am lol) than my DW, get one!

    Morning all,
Not got much cleaning done this week, isn't it amazing how many excuses there are for avoiding housework!
So far today I've had a lie in, showered and got dressed AND DONE 1 LOAD OF WASHING! Not a bad start if you ask me.
DH has washed up and run the DW.
I think I just might start again with the flying next week. (is that cheating? I seem to do ok monday- tuesday and then run out of oompf)

I'm off in a min to do min final final test to complete the certificate.

Hope everyone is having a good morning.
