I am quite tempted Rainmac by the bumper mystery offer - what do you think? I've never ordered from them before let alone one of these mystery parcels. Are you going to get it?

    Hi everyone
I am wanting to start scrapbooking and am trying to pick up the courage to start.I have got some papers, a book to cover and some stickers so far.
I came across your thread ,which I think is fab.:T

I could do with some help with the lettering. I dont want to use stickers and was wondering about buying stamps.I looked at the wooden rubber stamps but they seem so dear. Can anyone point me in the right direction for what stamps to use and other ideas for lettering .
Any other advice would be great too.
    Many thanks x
  • Mary I am thinking of you.

You can hand cut some letters with cardstock. A website I use is https://www.dafont.com.

I've got mixed feelings about ordering as p&p is steep and I have had things from them that have been slightly damaged and taken absolutely ages to arrive. Does sound good though, how about you???

  • I searched on a well known scrapping website and there seem to be varied views regarding the arty.....com website but many did seem to say the order was slow etc so I think that I will look elsewhere.

I used artymiss once before and not keen to again!
I ordered mystery boxes as they seemed such great bargains and some of the items were damaged, used, dirty etc etc and I decided not to use them again. I did email them and they never replied!!
I would definitely never ever order any sort of mystery package from them after my bad experience!!

Thanks for the advice ladies re artymiss. I've read bad reviews about them before, but they had quite a few basic grey items that I was after. I don't think I'd ever order a mystery box where I had no clue what was in it, but because it was basic grey stuff I was thinking of giving it a go. It does really put me off that postage is a fiver.
