Hello, I've made another quote book, this time for a friend who is a mum of 3 girls so the quotes are related to her being a mum and having daughters...
The book is from Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter range and called a matchbook. It came as a sheet of die-cut shapes to push out and secure into a book with brads. It's this but I only paid £1.75 for it but can't for the life of me remember wher I got it from? I decorated the book with bits and bobs I had already. There are some in the sale section of this site just not the same one as I used (I am thinking about ordering some of these as it's a great easy way to make a little quote book as the card pages are already patterned).

rainmac - what you do is perfect every time...............:T Thats just beautiful...........and I haven't even got around to doing one like your Dads yet..................lol (other things on my mind as you know)
Did ring Colemans but they hadn't got one so I'll have to remember which web site I've seen others on.
Melissa kindly gave me that link but I've got a little photo album that's similar with a wooden back and front.
Also got an oblong photo album, old fashioned sort with just plain black pages to stick photos on - it's oblong but about 4" x 8" and I'm wondering if once I stick paper on the pages it''ll be hard to shutMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

I've just ordered 6 more  , different designs, £2 each plus £3 p&p. Not bad I think given that I will use them for presents so even though I begrudge paying postage I know I'll have spent far less in the longer term:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

mary, far from perfect I can assure you but things like these I don't think there is a right or wrong way?
I think a photo album would do the job equally as well. I've recently bought one of these from Hobbycraft... http://www.docrafts.co.uk/asp/products/product.asp?id=72952. It was £2.99 and bigger than the basic grey chipboard book but the pages are card not chipboard. Would one of these be any good for you if you choose not to use a photo album. It is bound with rings so you can add as much as you like to the pages, or add more pages if you want to. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

rainmac - where did you get them from ? I've justy trawled so many scrapbook sites I'm going boggle eyes and didn't see anything like that. But I've taken the bull by the horns and ordered two black books from Kalula.com
Don;t know quite what they'll be like but the picture looked ok and I'm itching to have a go.............:rotfl:Mary
