  • Thanks Morwenna, I don't mind if it is smaller or larger and I have a 3.50mm hook too so if I just find some fine yarn (crochet cotton?) in similar colours I should be ok :T

I would try a 3.50 hook and fine yarn as well, as MORWENNA has said. May be worth doing a few sample squares first with different size hooks and yarns, until you get the size you want. The pattern is gorgeous - I'm definitely going to make one! Thanks for posting it and I hope you get the results you want. Good luck!

  • You can get Cebelia yarn from http://www.threadoflife.co.uk/crochet-supplies/thread/cotton-thread.html but as they list different thicknesses I'm not sure it'll be much help:confused: They do list a lot of colours though:D
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
  • Thanks moiliere and churchmouse, it is a lovely teddy isn't it? I'm not sure on the thickness of the Cebelia thread, I'm just more confused now! So will go with the idea of trying a few squares out. I'll start it after I finish my other friend's baby blanket and my daughters poncho...oh and the christmas finger puppets! Its addictive this crochetng lark!

As it is on their web site, I would get back to the home page and ask them, as obviously both the crochet hook size and tension is missing, so how can you "relax and have fun".

    Bump!

Once upon a time, I'd have sworn we had an active crochet thread.  This is the only one I could find.

Hi PipneyJane, I didn't know this thread was here.
Some of us post on the Crafting section in the Cross Stitch and Craft Café. I'm currently making Attic24's Dune blanket for DD to take to uni. Not going to finish it in time for her 19 Sep departure I don't think, but will send on. Here's the link to the thread:

    Hope to see you there!

Thanks @Coxy11.  I'll join. I didn't know there was a Crafting area on the Forum; I only knew the threads that are here on Old-Style:  The Knitters thread and Fashion on the Ration, where there are plenty of crafters.

  • Whattttt .... there’s a Crafting section?  How come I haven’t spotted it before?   Uh-oh. This doesn’t bode well for either my time management or my budget ...
