but when i joined they said they would send me a letter in the post as well as an e-mail, and considering they have spaces in my e-mail address (didnt know such addresses exsisted) you would think they would twig that it ant right and just pop a letter in post, or even phone me
I think maybe they mis-informed you then because when I joined last month I was told that any further communication with them would be done via email, and they gave me the email addy to contact them if I had any queries.
The only thing I've received via post was a letter from BT stating that Primus would be taking over my call charges from xxxx date"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Thinking about it, I never received any emails from Primus after setting it all up via telephone until after it went live, and then they sent me my account details to log on to their website, so you probably wouldn't receive anything from them until next week anyway."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

obsessive wrote:Heinz: I've been wondering this myself - I want to sign up with Primus, and do it through Quidco, via USwitch. I contacted USwitch to ask them why they're not showing Saver 2 and they said, basically, that their info. is taken straight from the Primus Site. I then contacted Primus and they said that the fault must be with USwitch who hadn't updated their site to show the current Primus offer. So, no further on really. I'm tempted either just to sign up directly with Primus, and forego the cashback that Quidco (via USwitch) promises, or else to go through the USwitch and see just what deal that would end up with from Primus.
The only Primus option which came up was 'Primus Saver Freetalk' at £2.99/month. That appeared to be identical to the free Primus Saver Option 2 package I'm on, except for the £2.99/month charge.
I then went onto the Primus website - and couldn't find 'Primus Saver Freetalk' mentioned at all.
Anyway, my daughter switched by phoning Primus's freephone number and, with her mob, was happy to accept having achieved that (and the certaintly of future savings) despite the short term 'loss'.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Hi My free evening and weekend calls with Talk Talk ends the beginning april. My line rental is still with BT. Can I change to Primus from Talk Talk and if so what do I have to do? Do I inform Talk Talk or BT? I see on Talk Talk website they are offering 12mths free evening and weekend calls again, would this be for new customers or would they let me have another 12 mths!
many thanks

Annft,
Just phone Primus. I had an almost identical experience. When I mentioned the Uswitch site were charging £2.99/month - the Primus man told me if you go through Uswitch you get put on £2.99 tarriff....whereas if you do it over the phone directly there is no monthly charge. This may, of course, all be complete rubbish!!0 -

The problem is the uncertainty generated by the 'amalgamation' of TT, OneTel, Tele2 etc. into CPW.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
