So for calls to 0845/0870 if you cant get alternative number its worth Primus Saver users using the BT override service and putting your calls through BT as they are cheaper
Primus have a price promise that offers free calls for a year if you can find anyone cheaper, I wonder if this counts.
Anyone have the appetite for a battle?0 -

Anyone have the appetite for a battle?
Can you put up a link that leads to this price promise please?PF.0 -

Longer then that even.
To get the £50 in full. You have to had 3 quarterly bills for line rental from them.
The first bill is for advance line rental. The second and third bills contain the two £25 credits.PF.0 -
Last month I moved to Primus (Saver 2 option) using Uswitch via Quidco (for an extra £8 in pocket) as my TT World +1 plan was due to expire this month. The move was absolutely painless with clear emails first from Uswitch, detailing & confirming the switch, then 3 from Primus giving plan, Direct Debit & Activation date details. Activation was completed as indicated & just received my first ebill from Primus today - all in order - so far so good Cheers Moneysavingexpert & Primus.
I must say also although a have switched from TT I have had no problems with them the only reason for the move was financial.
Finally I can also confirm that 08448617474 for 01:42 mins at Peak cost £0.057 & 08448617474 for 08:17 mins Off-Peak £0.104 - all prices less VAT (ringing the mother-in-law in Spain via Dialaround). Carn't be a**sed to work out the rates0 -

Mentioned over the phone when I was placing the order, having hunted all over their website I cannot find any reference to it.0 -
Hi Folks
About to sign up to Primus as my CPS but their website states a minimum call charge of £0.04 per call:
http://www.planet-talk.co.uk/SaverRates.aspx?source=saver
Does this mean that my "free evening and weekend landline calls" will actually cost me 4p a go? Sure there was post back when Just Dial was the preferred supplier stating there was no connection fee/minimum call charge on the "free calls" on that plan.
Incidentally, both the Just Dial Saver lite website and Uswitch.com still show that plan as being available even though i've read here that they were revoking it to new applicants. Does anyone know if they've thought better of that decision? Would prefer to go with their plan as it offers 2hr calls not 90 minutes.
Thanks v much

Read some of the other threads on here if you're tempted by JustDial (CS appears to have fallen apart).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Is there any alternative to my BT landline if I only need broadband?
I live in Tiverton (Devon) and I really resent paying my £11 a month to BT to provide a phone line which I never use for calls and only require for my broadband connection!
Since my work have now offered to pay up to £25 toward my broadband connection I thought I'd see if there are any options for me to ditch the BT phone line cost? As generally my calls are on my mobile.
I can't go "cable" since they're not in the area so anyone know of any packages that don't require the BT phone line?
Thanks.0 -
