Thank you 160, it would be nice if there was cheaper accommodation in the area, I can only find what is on the internet!

Sorry chaps, I won't be able to make it on 11th March. No holidays left, and train/bus journey too long to make it down to York on a Friday after work from up here in very very freezing NE Scotland. (Think it is minus 6 C just now, brrrrrrr!) Perhaps next time :'(0

awww, thats a real shame.0

Sorry from me too. :'( I'll be in Italy that day (well, for 4 weeks in total) learning Italian. Some people have to suffer for their art. ;D
However, I'll be thinking of you all having a good time in York. It's a lovely city and I'd got one of my friends primed to put me up for the night who lives there.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 #18 £2021.83 declared0 -
Awwwww Vicky, that's no excuse! I can teach you Italian, being mother tongue myself... hehehehe
I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Italy, enjoy the food and weather but beware of the men

Thanks Caterina. My boyfriend is already worried about the men and me. (no need to be!)

Can I attend!!?? I will probably find my own accomodation - bringing family - is that ok? If so please let me have the details?0
-
Of course you can attend Halloweenqueen!
I don't know what's happening yet as I am still waiting to see if anyone proposes anything cheaper than the Micklegate hostel, as Fran pointed out that it seems a bit expensive for a dorm to pay £14.50.
I am afraid that in York there might not be much cheaper accommodation than that, especially in the centre of town, as it is a very touristy place, but I am open to suggestions.
Maybe the ideal solution would be for all who attend to find their own accommodation so there is not going to be an issue about sending deposit cheques etc...
What do you all think?
