Morning
So sorry to hear some of you aren't well, or have family not well. Lots of (((hugs)))
Well, the photographing of all the bits for ebay didn't go well yesterday - as the camera I borrowed wouldn't work. I felt really bad taking it back telling them it wouldn't work as it looked like I had broken it and I hadn't.May have to dig my old really crap one out and give that a go.
Anyway, DS1 is going to a friend's house for lunch and a play all day so if I can get Mr TM to look after DS2 I can get on with sorting out the stuff in the attic room for selling. Also have a lot of Xmas pressies hanging around up there. I made a start on the wrapping yesterday.
It's a lovely day so may get some washing out. Lunch will be a 'leftovers' meal and then we're having steak casserole for tea, in the SC. I'll make lots and freeze the rest. Was going to make a soup but think Mr TM has thrown the chicken stock I made yesterday, away  It was sitting in a pan, cooling and it's not there, nor in the fridgeI have stock in the freezer, but that's not the point.
OK, off for a surf whilst I finish my smoothie.

Morning all and hugs to all that need them.
It's a glorious day here again so the washing is out on the line again. I wouldn't have so much to do but DH insisted on doing a plate hunt in DS's room 2 days ago. He didn't find any plates but he found mountains of clothes shoved under his bed, dirty and clean all mixed in together so it all has to be washed againAt least the weather has been good to get it all dried.
I got the shopping done yesterday whilst DD2 was at a birthday party and came in well under budget. I really want one of those sewing machines from Aldi this week so I'm trying to magic up the money from somewhere
DH is at work all day and it's just me and DD2 here, she'll never let me get on with anything but the beds are made, the bedrooms are tidied and all I really need to do is iron the school uniforms. The baking will have to wait.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

LOL! That sounds just like my DS's room! I actually banned him from going on his PC or PS2 the other day until he'd tidied up his room, and when I walked into the kitchen I suddenly found a load more glasses and plates to wash up (after I'd done the washing up!) and a pile of "dirty" clothes to be washed, half of which were still clean which I'd neatly folded and put on his bed a week ago for him to put away!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hi Again
Just to say I feel a little better nowThanks for all your kind words.
OH & DD went off to a kind of social gathering(about 2hrs travelling), but I really wasnt well enough to go. OH hadnt seen alot of his mates etc for ages and felt it would be selfish of me to ask him to stay at home-although he would of if i asked him  They wil be back by tea time
Chicken is already to be put in oven-probably about noon. OH already done spuds, and I have just peeled some carrots, brussels and chopped some brocolli(cut my finger though  ). All I have to do is the batter for the yorkies and the stuffing. So we will be having: roast chicken, roasties, mash, yorkies, carrots, sprouts, brocolli, stuffing & tons of gravy-both their favs :T
Ive had a bath as all joints were hurting and have watched some tv.
Speak to you later

Morning!
I had a lie in today as I felt I deserved it, I went on a cleaning binge yesterday and the whole place is now sparkly clean - even using vinegar on the kitchen units so they look all sparkly too. It was boyf's birthday yesterday so we went out for chinese and over to a freinds to socialise for a bit, and then came back and watched series 2 episode 4 of Lost - he really enjoyed his day.
Im pleased I did all the cleaning anyway - alls i have to do today is finish the last load of laundry (in already) and iron a few bits and pieces, then roast a chicken for dinner. In a short while I intend on taking a quick shower and then going up to lidl - ive located one really close to me so im seriously pleased! Todays challenge is to spend around £8, and I need to get loo roll, dry cat food and litter, a few veggies, and a few things for my work lunches or any bargains I spot. I also need to find a homebase type place as I need some white spirit and wire wool as I want to start stripping my side table today and im going to do a bit of quilting too. All the rest of the cash will fund the telewest bill due on tuesday - this month its essentially two months in one as its our first bill.
Ive applied for council tax benefit but the first months payment is due on tuesday too - but that will have to wait till I get paid on Friday. Im so looking forward to friday though - as soon as I finish work im going to Ikea to order my sofa and ill probably demand its delivered as soon as possible.
Anyway - enough about the money swimming round in my head - I need to make a proper budget and get that sorted out!

:rotfl: you do know how to put a smile on my face hun
I'm currently running around like a headless chicken cleaning up as I have a man coming round this evening to look at a snake with view to buying her, and NOBODY is allowed in (barring the kids) unless the flat is spick and span
I'm supposed to be tidying my desk at the moment but keep getting distracted by MSE
Anyway, just how can a desk, which was clean and only had two neat piles of paperwork on it a week ago, descend into a shamble with a pile of books, letters, various boxes of medication, bubble wrap and gods knows what else on it in such a short space of time???"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hello all.
Yesterday I went out with DS as its the only chance we get now he is at school(6th form). We didnt have anywhere to go in particular but sometimes its just nice to get out and just be us.We found him a USB hub in poundland which was lucky as he'd asked for one for his birthday but I'd already bought his present.
We bought DD some rechargeable batteries while we were there as she is always asking for batteries. We bought burgers from the burger stall(really nice and much better value than McD's etc.
Then we went to Costa's and had a drink.
I dug a bit of the garden in the afternoon as the weather is so warm at the moment.
Today was Asda's as usual.Good thing I checked my receipt though,as they had charged me full price for reduced mushrooms (they gave them to me for free when I pointed it out).
The weather is lovely again today so I've done 2 loads of washing which is now on the line.Must get the BM on.Im just off to make our lunch time sandwiches then more gardening while the weather is good.
Have a lovely day!0 -
Have prepared batter for yorkies and par boiled potatoes for roasties. Also prepared carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.
Have a chicken pie from Lidl to bake and an apple pie and custard for afters.
Amazing what dear family will eat when it is covered with cheese sauce!;)
Washing is on line and need to go out to get a new mattress for DD's bed.
Should just have time to do that before getting meal cooked for 4pm."This site is addictive!"

Hi All,
PP, I hope you enjoy the day until your OH and DD get home.
Pink Fairy, I really hope your DD is better soon.
Having a disastrous weekend so far. It was my DD's birthday yesterday (7th) so we got up early to unwrap pressies, before we had a chance to shower etc, MIL and FIL descended upon us, didnt go until nearly lunchtime - (despite the fact we were all still in PJ's) dashed around getting ready, took DD's to my moms, unwrapped more pressies, dashed to Aldi, dashed back, unpacked shopping, tidied up, dashed to swimming lessons. The evening was a bit better, a friend and her DD met us at swimming and came with us to McDonalds for tea, so DD really enjoyed that.
Today decided to miss church and have a lie in as we were all shattered. Didnt set the alarm clock and was awakened at 10.30 by the doorbell ringing. It was my dad, come to see DD, and hes just gone, so Ive just had a piece of toast and the first cup of tea of the day, and we are all still in PJ's! Also the house is in chaos again, toys everywhere you look!
Next Sunday we are taking DD and four of her friends to Cadbury World as her birthday treat.
It looks like today I will be tidying up (again, its just never ending in this house as OH is as untidy as the kids) and Im making cakes this afternoon. As DD is now 7, she is starting to Brownies after half term, so Tuesday will be her last Rainbow session. I thought Id make some choc chip fairy cakes and maybe some cookies for her to take in and share. I bought some ground almonds so I fancy a bakewell tart too, but I really shouldnt because there is a very large chocolate smartie birthday cake (bought by nanny) in the kitchen.
My friend bought us a big bag of clothes her DD has grown out of, mostly next things for my DD's to fight over, so will have a sort out of their wardrobes later. Managed to get a great bargain, Adams had a sale and I saw a beatiful party dress for Christmas in my DD's size, but it was torn ( looked worse than it was, the lining was ripped but had frayed) and had a mark on the front. Managed to get it for £4.99 reduced from £24.99. The mark has washed out and the lining only needed a few stitches, its as good as new. The assistant thought I was mad to buy it in the first place, but I knew other O/S'ers would do the same.
Better go and make some beds and hop in the shower.0
