Scuzz - So pleased that your family will be home soon, must have been a very worrying time for you.

    ms_london - you're a star!! :D:D:D

Have my Tesco shopping coming this morning, will catch up with the housework and then after lunch take the kids to a their school where everyone is helping to paint a mosaic (lots of fun - *cough* ).

Have a good day all, looks like a sunny day!

    Morning all,

Scuzz - hope your Sis makes it home soon.

Chipps - I know what you mean about making the menu plan. I spent most of yesterday trying to do one until the 30th November with DD who has decided she wants to "cook" once a week  She's only 4 so we'll see how long that lasts :rotfl:

SnowyOwl - Have a great time tonight!

brummiebabe - do you want to come and do my housework for me? I'm in a really "can't be bothered" mood ATM, I even painted the hall etc on Monday to avoid the housework! How daft is that? :rotfl:

Not much planned for today - I have more washing to do as I changed our bed yesterday. Weather forecast is nice so it can go out on the washing line. Also have clothing from DD's trip away to wash, thankfully its more or less all "darks" so they can all be washed together - any whites/lights can go in with the bedding ;) Got jumpers from Monday that are still slightly damp so they can go out on the line to blow while the bedding is washing. You never know, I might even be enclined to do the huge pile of ironing at some point as well..Then again :rotfl:

Still got dishes by the sink so they need to be washed and the bathroom needs cleaning. I've just noticed that some flowers I bought the other week have died but I haven't noticed until today as they got put ontop of the fridge out the way when I was wrapping ebay parcels and I forgot to put them back on the table :o Just proves how often I have flowers in the house

I also need to write my shopping list shouldn't take long as I already have a menu plan for the month. If my money has cleared then I can go tonight, if not it will have to be tomorrow which I really don't want to do. I hate shopping on a Friday night, it's like the scenes of panic in disaster movies where people grab anything and everything and the shelves are left bare

DD and I will be doing some gardening today - her sunflowers have nearly fallen over with all the rain and wind so she can help me take them out. Plus a couple of my strawberry plants have died  so I'll be putting the compost from those pots back outside.

Right, off I go to get dressed....maybe I should finish my coffee first though

    Morning all :hello:

    Congratulations to ms_london!

I'm just about to pop out, so I won't be long. I'm going to the dentist today. As I haven't been for a good few years, I'm worried that it's going to be expensive! I'm then meeting up with a friend for lunch. She's also a teacher and has a "proper" job, so I'll be able to hear all about her little charges.

I got my pay slip today for the work that I did last week, and they're also paying me some of my tax back as I was on an emergency tax code. I really need that money, as on top of the dentist next Tuesday is when my car is going for its service AND the rent is due. Ah well, at least I'll have a roof over my head, even if I can't afford to eat!!!!

    See you folks later.

    Hi everyone:j

My lie-in didn't go as planned - I got out of bed to make a cuppa and Mr TM jumped straight back in bed! So, he had the kids for oooh, 20 mins, in which time they both came up to me :)

Anyway, last night, after having a lovely bath to unwind, I decided I hadn't finished, so 11pm saw me in my jimjams and d.gown, scrubbing my kitchen doors and appliances. All I need to do today is a final coat of emulsion in places, then I can put up border. Then scrub floor, kickboards and windows and kitchen is as clean and fresh as a new pin - whoohoo :)

Woke this morning to fresh bread and the SC full of lamb stock from all the ribs the butcher gave me. Once that's cooled, I'll pick off the meat and skim the fat and make a lovely soup - quite fancy some barley in it today. As it's such a nice day, the WM will be doing overtime and I shall venture to stay in the garage and sort more stuff for the boot sale. Appears to be bad weather on Sunday but at least I'll be taking an indoor plot :D

OK, off to check my ebay listings. Have a good day all, congrats on your debt free status, ms-L and have a great evening scuzz. Snowy-Owl....to hell with 'em, that's what I say :D

    Good morning all

    Ms_London :T :T :T Well done you!!!

Had a lovely dinner last night - everyone enjoyed it - Made a stomboli (receipe on here somewhere) and did garlic roasted new potatos, parsnips and carrots with it......yummmmmmmy! DH has taken the rest to work with him today for lunch, he's had to start going to eat his lunch in the car as everyone in the office comes over to see what he's got and try and sneak a taste.....he gets fed up sharing! lol

Off to the library and town today, meeting mother in town and then as it's a nice day we'll walk DD's along the beach. (must remember not to get too many heavy books!) Need to pop into our local pound shop - they had loads of stuff in last week that I needed but I didn't have the time to go get more cash out - typical!

DW needs emptying, no washing to do today, no ironing as I caught up with it last night, a quick flick with a duster and hoover is all that's needed this morning.....how did I get so organised?

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Am a bit tired this morning because I had an uncontrollable urge to cook and sort out laundry at 10:30 last night, then sat down with my laptop and got immersed in MSE, so by the time I got around to doing the washing up it was 1am :o

Had a productive bargain-hunt in my local Tesco just before closing time last night; got some turkey pieces for £1.10 (reduced from £1.70) and mushrooms for 20p (reduced from 89p). So decided to prepare for a stir fry - picked up some spring onions for full price (49p) but couldn't find any loose peppers except green which I'm not keen on (WHY are the multipacks so much better value than the loose produce?) so went to pay (having also picked up a dented tin of coconut milk (30p down from 69p) for future curry making!) then popped across the road to the Co-op where they had 2-packs of those posh pointy red sweet peppers reduced to the same price as one normal loose pepper! That'll be tonight's dinner then, and lots of leftovers for the freezer. Hopefully I can pick up some beansprouts on way home tonight - nobody had any last night.

Congratulations again on your DFD Ms_London!!!

Well done Ms London!!!!! I have followed your posts on D with D from time to time over the past year...... enjoy your freedom, you have done so well through your own efforts.

OH off out, put a load in the washer last night and as its going to be good drying day I am about to load the washer again...... at least I can get them dry and as the forecast is not so good for the rest of the week and the weekend thats another job out of the way, also need to hoover upstairs, the electrician came last night to put an isolator switch on our shower, have been on at the landlord for months to do this, so now its done, but have to clean up the dust thats hanging in the carpet. Also need to have a good look at what I am going to do in my sewing room now the beds have gone...... my project for the weekend. I need to get my head down and get on with some sewing.

Should have been sausage and mash tonight, but OH wanted sausage and chips on Tuesday, so its macaroni chese, baked toms and spuds, with bread and butter pudding, I made a big one yesterday which will last us for 3 suppers. Oh dear might have to have another think all the dairy in one meal????? might do fish instead.......

We went Tesco shopping on Tuesday, I do not know whats going on with our local shop, they are supposed to fill the shelves through the day, but there were losts of things I couldn't get..... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, am thinking of trying Asda, I have to travel and would not get points, but I think they are cheaper, use Aldi occasionally, Lidl is not so close...... so not really an option usless I know I can get everything I want from there.

    Off to load the washer.

Well we all seem to be doing the washing today, I've stripped the beds and remade them and the washing is on the line already. I've got lots of general housework to do as I went out and had a little retail therapy yesterday. Didn't spend much but had a nice day anyway. It's amazing how much stuff you pick up and then put down,a fter saying to yourself, " do i really need this".
Scuzz hope your family is on their way home to you soon and congratulations to Ms_London. It must feel sooooo good to be debt free:dance:   .

Where's Queenie gone to? Hope you are well.

Bargain Rzl, Well done on your bargains, and I know how you feel about the late nights, I did the same last night

And to everyone else have a great day and enjoy the unseasonal weather:wave:
