CQ - beware - I have put on 3 lbs since I started having a hot choccy at suppertime (oh, and maybe I'm addicted to the banana and nut loaf too)

Well, I AM getting a bike for Xmas, so that should soon go

Right, off for that hot choccy and Cointreau

very very late in posting today - went to aqua aerobics this morning then went and did another tour at the uni and ended up doing some office work too - so managed 5 1/4 hours :j going in tomorrow morning too and have been asked to work all next week in the admissions office as all the applications are coming in right now - will earn almost all of my rent for December next week so I'm really happy :j :j :j

Anyway got home just before 6 then mum phoned as they've been over to Germany to see my brother for a few days.

Then took OH to Argos to collect something he'd reserved and had come in and popped into sainsburys next door for eggs, butter etc as I want to do a bit of baking and need some more bits.

Made a chilli after that completely from stratch and ingredients cost less than £2 for 2 of us so I'm very pleased - will make that again for certain :)

Just having some internet time now then going to make some cakes in a minute and put some more washing on - better late than never.

Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!

Had quite a successful day all in all!

Made fairy cakes with DS1 & 2 - which they really enjoyed (and it kept them amused for a while!) Managed to catch up on the housework & DH has cleaned the bathroom tonight, so its ALL done (until the next time anyway!!)

Whilst cooking dinner tonight (tuna pasta bake & salad) also cooked cheese & potato pie for tomorrow!! (I'm NEVER this organised!!)

Had some good news today, my DH's car is not going to be written off after all (yippee!!:j :j ) we could so NOT afford to replace it at the moment. However, more good news (although we'd rather it didn't have to happen) is that my FIL's flat sale is due to complete next week (he died in August) so the stress of having that hanging over the family will be over!:)

Hope everyone has a good evening (what's left of it!)

Queenie - hope you manage to get back on-line soon - my friends lounge ceiling recently fell down (with NO warning) luckily her DS had JUST left the room:eek: . Hope you're not in too much of a mess!!!!

  • Good night all,
I'm so late arriving to post today I could nearly start tomorrows!
All the chat about cheap Baileys reminded me - I've got a recipe for it - how OS is that :rotfl:

    1large tin evap milk
1 large tin of condensed milk
    Whisky
    Water

Put both cans of milk in the blender, use 1 empty can as a measure and add 1 can of water and 1 of whisky. Blend, bottle and keep in the fridge - yummy. I've also experimented with adding coffee and drinking chocolate - also yummy!

    Good morning everyone
    ...er ... where is everyone?
Scuzz: hope your family get home soon - and enjoy your meal & evening out.
We have DSs piano lesson this morning. Not very OS cos we have to drive about 16 miles to get there, but on the way home I will drop him off at his "Saturday" job (boss is on holiday on Saturday so has asked if he will come in today instead)
Dinner is HM lasagne tonight. Oh, I love having a menu plan all sorted out! I just don't much like doing it in the first place!

    Morning everyone

Have to go to work...NO NO NO DON'T WANT TO GO!!! If you saw my moan in yesterday's diary you'll know why. At least it's a normal day today, no overtime this evening. I might actually get a bit of housework done.

Woke up to a dishwasher full of lovely clean dishes, the timer on my machine is such a good idea. If only they would invent a device to empty it, then that would be the perfect appliance.

Have fed my geriatric kitty this morning, currently feeding myself, and will have a shower before I head off to the torture chamber, oops sorry, office.

Have a fab time at the murder/mystery Scuzz, though make sure you have a hot toddy or two just in case you've got some lurg or other taking residence.

    Ms_London....YOU HAVE NO DEBTS!!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!

    Morning all:hello:

Ms_London - the countdown is over!! Enjoy the day (& paying off ALL THAT DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!) Well done!:T :T :T

SnowyOwl - hope you have a better day at the office today!

Scuzz - hope your sister manages to get home soon! It must be awful being stuck out there, when all you want to do is get home!!

Well, today is not really a very OS day. Load of washing is in the machine as the weather forecast says its going to be around 70 degrees F (20!! Deg C) today!!!!!!!:D  Will put this on the line as soon as its finished!

Taking kids to get a photo done today - due to a mix up, we missed the school photo this year:(

The housework is all done (for now anyway) and dinner tonight is already prepared. Its amazing how much you can get done when going to work doesn't get in the way:rolleyes:

Hope you all have a good day!
