Morning all
Bright and breezy morning here today.
Working today - but just escaped the mayhem of playdough in the kitchen for 10 mins with a coffee!
Plan to make a stombloi later for tea - with spicy wedges. BM is going with a loaf as we speak, washings washing and tumble tumbling (can't have the washing on the airers with the housefull i've got today so easier to get it dry and put away).
Just paid a couple of bills and managed to pay the final payment on one of our credit cards!! whoohooooo. Have written a letter to cancel the card immediately so it won't get used again! :T
Got another little one arriving after lunch so we'll all be off out for a walk for some nice sea air. Going to set a competition for the older ones too - collect as many different species of leaves as possible and when we get home we'll try and find out what they all are......educational or what!
Anyway - I'm off to find a reciepe for peppermint creams....dad's birthday on Friday and they're his favs.
Hope everyone has a good one.

Dishwasher is churning and I am about to hang out 2 loads of washing.
Still have massive ironing pile so came on here for an hour before summoning up the strength to tackle it.
May make home made pizza for tea and have pea soup in the slow cooker.
Seems strange not to hear from Queenie as I always think of this as her thread so it is not the same without her."This site is addictive!"

Working from home today, so whenever I get stuck writing this journal paper the housework is there to give me 15/30mins of thinking time.
So far have done 1 washing load, next is just starting, hoovered and parceled up some ebay stuff for when the cheques clear. Only managed about half tha paper though - makes my brain hurt. OH kindly gave me his cold which doesn't help - fortunately i am well stocked for home-made cures.Still wish I could buy a TARDIS instead of a house!0 -
Have managed to sort out most of the washing on my bed...hooray!!
I really don't know how/ why I let it get so bad....
Watched supersize me last night...felt like a fat unhealthy moo, so had all the best of intentions of getting back to the slimming world way of eating...
this morning arrives and 2 slices of toast and peanut butter later I'm wondering what the heck is my problem!!!!
Now I don't know whether to just wait till I shop next week or give it another go before...its so frustrating...
Anyway, gonna make a start on last nights dishes to try to cheer myself up!!!0 -

There is, however, a very good diet support thread on the I Wanna Board which is full of tips and help - so even if you don't do anything this week, having a read might just help you get into the right frame of mind for the coming days...

Oooh, I forgot to mention, I got my tax rebate from the 2003/4 year - straight into the high earning savings account!!
And I got sent some sparklers and a book to work - what people do for publicity!Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi Yall, I've finally broke the back of the washing mountain by working two washers side by side since 9am. I've just come up for air and a cupper before I start the drying:rolleyes: Having said that by bobbying in and out between wash and rinse cycles I have managed to wrap ALL* the Christmas presents.
*gifts ordered by still awaiting delivery are excluded from the term 'all':D
Tea tonight will have to be something raw as I don't think I will have enough energy to turn the oven on and I've got to summon what little strength I have left for getting the cork out of a 2ltr bottle of Hock later:D Oh and I guess I'll have to go and collect the kidz from school if I feel up to it.

Good ... er, I was going to say "good morning" but have just looked at the time!
DS is not even out of his bedroom yet, although he has been awake for ages. I can hear the sounds of the PS2 so I know he is alive in there.
Recycling day again today. I notice that even my recycling rubbish is far less than it used to be. I think the policy of trying (as far as possible) not to buy anything that we will only throw away is paying off!
Washing is out on the line - what lovely weather we are having at the moment. Se999, where abouts is "Varied", that place where it is snowing?
I have even finished knitting the mittens & wooly hat I was making for the shoebox collections. Actually I was really pleased yesterday, as I went to Oxfam and they had a box of small toys for 25p each or 6 for £1. I bought some baby dolls, a new-looking teddy and another doll. I washed the clothes of the dolls which had them, put a new ribbon (well, almost new, it was from a gift box I had been given & had been ironed) on the teddy. I just have a few more dolls clothes to make & they will be ready to put in boxes too.
Got most of the ironing done yesterday, too. Why is it that tablecloths always congregate at the bottom of the pile?0
