I have just used the Telesavers 1p per min to Thailand mobile. How much will One-tel charge me for the connection? Can't find info on their website.

I think (I can't find it on their site either) OneTel will charge you 1p/minute (the same as BT) for the 08448615615 call.

On the other hand, depending on which OneTel package you're on, that call could have cost you:

48p/minute on InternationalTalk;
93p/minute on StandardUKTalk, LeisureUKTalk or TotalUKTalk;
83.6p/minute on CallSaver.

last winter when my daughter was in Sri Lanka, I remember using a tel company called alphatelecom and they were very cheap for Asian calls - I seem to recall having to pay upfront. Any update on them as I have lost the details?

They don't appear to be as cheap as others on the MSE Callchecker now.

Just looked at online one-tel account and it has just charged me 21p for a 20 minute chat to Thailand - brilliant and to a mobile phone, even better. Thanks Martin. ;D

Cheapest calls isn't mentioned in the call checker, they are doing 1p a min to Russia, which is cheaper than everyone except 1899. No idea about other tarrifs. It Seems to be the same people as telediscount, telestunt etc

Error on UK mobile charges.

Comes up with 18866 2p/min 1899 and others 10p/min. Actually both 18866 and 1899 charge 2p/min Sat and Sun. Rest of time 18866 is 12p/min compared with 10p/min on 1899.

BT still not included in the list, though it is cheaper (especially off peak) for 0845 and 0870 calls

They are also charging only 2p/minute to Bangladesh landlines AND mobiles - half the price of Telestunt (the MSE Call Checker's best for that country) and less than a quarter of the price of any other provider mentioned in the MSE checker.

AT THIS POINT, I THINK IT OUGHT TO BE RE-STATED THAT, AT THE TIME THE CHECKER WAS INTRODUCED, MARTIN SAID THAT ONLY 'THE BEST 7' WERE INCLUDED.  kai666' s RECENT RUSSIA POST AND THIS BAGLADESH POST SHOW THAT, FOR A COUPLE OF LOCATIONS AT LEAST, THERE ARE CHEAPER OPTIONS OUT THERE.
