A few quick notes. The checker is new and there will always be a few teething problems.

One thing noticed (as i write) ratebuster actually lists the wrong phone numbers on its own website, and this translates into the checker. However unfortunately the checker is designed to report what the website says so that's unavoidable.

Also I some of the more specific calling tariffs are missing (ie it only lists daytime prices) this is unavoidable. This tends only to be an issue with UK calls and the checker is designed for international calls. We will try and smooth this all out over time though

Does anybody know whether Telewest also only would charge 1p per minute for something like the Telesavers 1p/min to Spain (08448615615 ) ?

I have not been able to confirm on the Telewest website

    thanks

http://www.niftylist.co.uk/ will also agregate the cheapest call-through rates.
  • I notice that the list of service providers does not show the one that we use (liquid telecom - http://www.liquidtelecom.com/) - calls to China cost us 2p per minute, landline or mobile.

Liquid Talk was included in the original survey but was no where near the top 7 providers overall. For china it is reasonably competitive (though 3p not 2p which would put it fifth cheapest).

As noted the aim is to add more providers later, but at launch only the cheapest were included as the cheapest are the ones people want :)

    once again
    i'm a little confused
checked price checker for international calls to pakistan mobiles
gives an 0911....... no. charging 15p min... however
    checked in phone directory
no.s that begin with 09 are premium rate and can be charged up to 60p min.
therefore don't understand that if i use my 3 mobile to make a call to a mobile no. in pakistan
    what i will be charged.
    please help
    thanks ;);););)
