    These are the popcorn boxes from asda, they are £1.50 for a pack of 8, the clapperboard is £1.50 also. You will find them near the party stuff and invitations etc.

    ive just attempted my first keyring charm
    I am hoping to give them to a few close friends as xmas pressies
    What do you think?

    Anyone got tips on making the head pin loops easily? I am having trouble but i am sure it will get better the more i make.
    I have never done beading at all before and i must admit i like it...lol
    I have other keyrings i am going to make and i am waiting on metal hook keyrings coming for a few friends so i can put beads on them as they are avid readers

    Hi - round nosed pliers are what you need to make the head pin loops. They make it a much better shape. You can get them quite cheaply on ebay around £3 I think.

  • After taking some inspiration from a thread on here, I had a go at making some of my own christmas decorations this year. Bear in mind if any sewing needs doing in this house then I pass it onto my OH I am that bad at it.

    Hi Babykat - it does take abit of practise. I would suggest practising on a few pins that you aren't going to use. Just do the loop then bend it back and do it again. You will soon get the hang of it. Are you bending the top of the pin then cutting off the excess and then holding the end in the pliers and bending it back towards you to make a loop??? Remember not to leave too much wire before bending as you will get a big loop!!!

  • i showed a friend my sock monkey and she wants me 2 make her 3 in time for xmas. i havnt even finished the 2nd 1 i was doing for my son, but this is due to half term and everytime i picked up a sock "what you doing?, can i help, mum he hit me, i want a drink"........
    due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

    had a very good day today, got some bath powder stuff in woolies out the clearance section for the bargain price of 1p, and some gorgeous make up bags at 99p each down from 3.99 each plus a load of other stuff. and have started my blackcurrant and liqurace vodka too. woo hoo
