  • I have copied this from my post on the xmas eve thread as I think it is really easy to do and very cheap. It might give someone else an idea. You could also sew two of the fleeces together to make a snuggle sack if you wanted.

Whilst walking about shops had a brainwave and went back for another, then went to primark and picked up a lovely deep red throw for £2. I am going to applique one of cushion cover panels onto fleece to make an xmas throw with matching cushion. Think little one will love to snuggle on sofa under it on xmas eve.
Will post a picture later. :D

    Have now completed the throw.
This was the cushion cover from £1 shop, lovely fleece material. Now filled with spare cushion.

The second cover I unpicked and used the front panel to applique to the primrk throw with zig zag stitch.

This is what completed throw looks like with applique.

i am really happy with how it has turned out and the throw and cushion have only cost £4 - bargain:D , also in real life it is much brighter red than it has shown up in the photos.
Hope it gives someone else an idea.:D

the throw and cushion are gorgeous! What a fab idea.

I visited a hobbycraft store with my mum yesterday - I was overwhelmed with the choice! I had to pick up some new seewing machine needles and mum got some buttons, but we were in a bit of a rush so didn't have much time to look around which was a real shame. I got a mixed idea of prices - some things cheap others not so!

Have a Halloween party tomorrow night which has turned form one or two drinks to a full blown costume party - eek! So christmas projects on hold now until next week :D

Oh my goodness, it is fabulous. I would advise taking cash so you don't buy too much
They have a lot of crafting stuff, loads of papercraft stuff, but also is like a department store, sweets, picture frames, bedding...
I am a fan of all the scrapbooking and card making stuff, not cheap but a huge amount of different manufacturers. Hope you have fun :D

I am a lurker on this board - I just love hearing about everyones ideas and make a mental list to do them (but not very good at actually doing them!!)

Just like to offer a Hobbycrafts voucher for £5 off (I think £20 spend) which was in Womans Weekly Christmas mag which I won't use.

Please PM me if anyone would like

(Hope its ok to offer this)
