rainmac - your crossstitch christmas picture is lovely. Can I ask if the pattern, thread and frame came as a kit, or did you have to put it together? I am thinking that one would look great on our wall.......:D

No it's not a kit. I ordered the frame from the States as I loved the colour and have a friend who lives over there who kindly bought it over for me last week! The chart is a Lizzie Kate design from this year's Tiny Tidings chart pack. I used DMC thread and some aida that I already had. The baubles on the tree and tiny buttons but you can just stitch red blocks. If you'd like a copy of the chart please PM me your address and I'll send it.
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

    Thanks rainmac :D

    have sent you a PM.

I'm making stockings for hubbie and I this year - an old pillowcase each and decorate it with our names and some christmas themed shapes - I thought the cross stitch would be lovely sewn onto the front. Would also be lovely adapted for the bump when it arrives next year :D

yummy - I have back problems too so am bit limited to just how much of the hoovering I can do.......back varies from one day to the other. Glad I've had all these little crafty bits to do..........call it 'occupational therapy'..............lol

Covered my two diaries this morning - they're currently sitting underneath a heavy book and drying off...........fingers crossed the paper sticks.

    Can't believe I've nearly finished everything !!
    Stuff to do:

    Grandaughters handbag pegs
Finish off sons 'survival box' -waiting for OH to get the piece of string I need

Still haven't thought of someone to give surplus door hanger to but it may come in a flash of inspiration
Never did do the lattice notice boards - maybe next year ??
Need to get bath stuff for baby grandsons christmas eve box
Oh and wrap up all the baskets and shoe boxes..........lol

And then I'm calling it a day................hoping to spend most of November and December panic free and clearing up the mess I've made...............lol
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

All scrapbookers! I had a peruse through the wh smith clearance on the website and found some scrapbooks for £2.99. I took a chance as there was no dimensions etc. but for £2.99 I was willing to chance it! Anyway they arrived this morning and are lovely 12x12 scrapbooks in navy blue and are ideal for men's scrapbooks or to decorate the front yourself. Out of stock at the moment but I'll put the link on in case they come back in stock (there are identical black ones for £7.40 but may be reduced) so just in case anyone is interested they are very nice indeed!!

ps - also 20% discount code for there on discount board :)

  • I've also made some felt flowers which I am going to use to personalise one of those hessian shopping bags and I've made some baubles from polystyrene balls and more scraps of fabric. The trouble is now I have started making things I just can't stop! I've also made some gazing balls/globes but don't have any pics of those yet!

  • In a fit of craft envy I made a sockmonkey on saturday, I didn't make it with anyone in mind, I just got jealous of you all making them! It turned out ok, I had to do the ears twice as my sewing was so messy! I decided to give it to my boyfriend, I expected him to just laugh at it but he actually loved it! he kept squeezing it's body to make the legs move! so thank you all for the instructions and encouragement to do it!
